Fudoin is a lovely temple accommodating guest for a stay. We were served a dinner and breakfast called Shojin Ryori, a traditional Japanese vegan friendly Buddhist cuisine which includes five flavour, colurs and cooking methods.
The stay is central to both the Kobo Daishi Memorial and Konpon Daito pagoda.
We experience early morning prayers at their temple followed by burning of incense sticks and meditation.
While we were there; snow from a few days prior, the evening got quite chilly. Their rooms are well equipped with several heaters and hot water for showers and the bath.

The room facilities and overall environment met my expectations. The service was meticulous and comfortable. The food was unique and uplifting. The morning class had a strong sense of ritual and immersion. I booked a month in advance, but the rooms were full within a few days. Remember to be punctual for the morning class and meals.

The service is very good yyds. There are morning classes in the morning and bathing in the evening. Shojin cuisine is excellent. The library is also very good. The courtyard outside the library is also very beautiful at night. I hope to stay here next time I come to Koyasan👍🏻

The Koyasan temple dormitory has monks' morning classes, which is solemn. The included dinner and breakfast are excellent, and the service in all aspects is very good. I can't say much, and I highly recommend it.

It is said to be the imperial residence of Emperor Toba and Empress. It has a beautiful environment and the hardware is new and clean. The location is good, in the middle, you can walk to major attractions in ten minutes. There is a short uphill walk to get off the bus.
I booked a Japanese-style room with a bathroom. I stayed in a room on the second floor. There was a small entrance hall, a sink, and a small bathroom at the entrance. It's very cold in Mount Koya in winter. With the air conditioner and heating on, the room is very warm.
The breakfast and dinner of Shojin cuisine are very sumptuous. In the morning class, the master will lead the chanting of sutras and incense, as well as Azi Temple meditation. If you want to participate in the fire offering, you need to make reservations at other temples. There are dedicated people who come to the room to take meals and morning classes, and the service is very considerate. I’ll come back next time during the red leaf season.

My first time at Shukubo, Fudoin was a very good experience. Fudo-in was built in 906 to enshrine King Fudo Myoto. Emperor Toba and Empress Toba of the Heian period are buried here. Currently there are 14 rooms, 3 room types, 4 without bathroom, 8 with bathroom, and 2 with both bathroom. This time I stayed in a room with a bathroom. The room was comfortable and clean. The public bathroom experience is also very good. The breakfast and dinner were very good. They were in a beautiful and elegant room. The dining location and meals were arranged in advance, and the waiters would come to the room to guide them. Many shukubo in Koyasan are facing the street. This hospital is not facing the street. It is quiet and unique. It can be reached by walking a short distance from the bus station.

Very friendly English speaking staff. Superb vegetarian dinner spread and delicious breakfast. Morning prayer and meditation sessions explained in English and provided with English pamphlets. Location is just a short walk from bus stop. Overall very enjoyable stay and easy for non-Japanese speaking tourist.
