Pension Atca in Tateyama

We stayed overnight with our dog. The beach is less than a 10-minute walk away, making it the perfect location for a dog. As everyone has commented, the hearty dinner made with ingredients from Chiba was fantastic!

The owners were wonderful, and the delicious, generously portioned food was fantastic!
The bathroom and toilet were very clean, and the view of the sea from the rooftop was beautiful.
Dinner was also very tasty, but unfortunately, I had eaten a lot on the way there, so I couldn't finish it all. 😭

We stayed in the annex with our dog. It felt more like a rental villa or cottage than a typical guesthouse – luxurious, clean, and thoughtfully designed for dogs. There was a small but valuable dog run. We enjoyed a very satisfying meal in the main building next door. Above all, the couple (former resort hotel employees) provided wonderfully pleasant service.

The cost performance is incredible. We would definitely like to return. Our range of activities on the Boso Peninsula is likely to expand. The bed cushions didn't quite suit my back. The husband is gentle, while the wife (husband) is very decisive. It seemed like it would take some getting used to the husband, who is easily misunderstood.

The food was delicious and filling. However, the dinner itself may be a downside. Depending on the season, you can see fireflies nearby, and there's a pool on-site, so it's highly recommended for children up to elementary school age. Smoking is somewhat tolerated, with smoking areas either outside or on the roof. Ashtrays appear to be available for rent. Since the rooftop is a shared space, it's probably best to refrain from smoking. Smoking is also permitted in the parking lot and on the way from the changing rooms to the front desk, but this is on the route, so consideration is needed. The staff were friendly, the family bath was great, and the food was satisfying. It's no wonder there are so many repeat customers.
