2nd time staying here. Very well located near to TCAT, subway stations, 24/7 supermarket and convenience store! A quiet neighborhood, a perfect place if youre not a night person like me :) And also, its an old school style hotel, so you can feel the vibe of old Japanese style.

I really loved my stay at Wagokoro! The staff are so friendly, helpful, and informative, and their service is superb as well. I feel so at home and warmly welcomed whenever I return to Wagokoro, everything there is just cozy and pleasant. The room is also great: simple, clean, and warm. Great location, and walking distance to Nippori station which is one of the stop for airport Skyliner. The room and bathroom are pretty small, but they are clean, functional and cozy. If prefer to stay in a quiet neighbourhood, while close to public transportation with convenient stores and supermarket nearby, this is the place.

The front desk/reception ladies were so kind! The free coffee (hot/ice) is a lovely touch. Very clean. My only comment is that the walls are pretty thin, but it didn’t bother me. I saw a lot of families stay here and the area is residential and peaceful.

Pleasant service and a nice room with almost everything you need. The wall is thin therefore you might hear your neighbors during sleep, but I guess it is not uncommon in Tokyo.

A budget friendly place to stay. We had the 2 beds room with tatami mats, no TV, a decent sized private bathroom. AC runs ok and is a little on the rough side when cooling a completely warm room. There was a dog run and the dogs seemed to have a lot of fun.

It is a pension where you can stay with your dog. The owner couple are very warm, gentle and welcoming. Although it is small, there is a dog run, and the dogs are satisfied. The food is completely homemade and very healthy and delicious. It's not fancy, but it's enough to fill you up. It's a great location to escape the heat in the summer and enjoy skiing in the winter.

Coolest hostel I have ever stayed in Japan, the staff was so friendly and everyday was a vibe. I really enjoyed talking with the staff at night, also met some really cool solo travelers as well. The kitchen is super nice and spacious and the dinner is super cute.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and they even had a campfire BBQ at night. The hotel has a kitchen, so you can buy ingredients and cook for yourself, and there's a 7-Eleven and Lawson nearby, which is really convenient for grabbing things. Enjoyed the full Japanese guest house experience, welcome was excellent and the outside hot spring (onsen) was amazing. Rooms basic as expected and local restaurant (China House) for dumplings and noodles was great value and the food was gorgeous.

It's a place that's been around for a while; the room smelled a bit off, and the mini-split air conditioner was very noisy—you either slept or you got too hot. It's only good for a short stay; I think there are better places for the price.

The owner here is extremely friendly and sociable, she will be able to talk to you all night if you want to. The one night we were there, other guests drew paintings together all night and also 2 of the guests made takoyaki and shared it with everyone else. No onsen unfortunately.

Lena-San is the best host. I had a traditional Tatami room, it was wonderful and very authentic. She provided me with all the information I needed and made a very good breakfast. A fantastic place to stay, the owner snd her daughter are lovely and very helpful. They can give you all the info you need on restaurants, hot springs and transport. The kitchen facilities are excellent, you can use the washing machine for free and in June they can take you to see fireflies at night.

I originally thought that the Hakone Onsen Hotel was too expensive and the cost-effectiveness of traveling alone was not high, so I chose a youth hostel. This is a wonderful hostel with an indoor and outdoor Onsen. It has a lovely living area and a well kitted out kitchen with free tea and coffee. The staff are all very welcoming and very helpful. We booked a local Japanese B&B on short notice. The decor was a bit dated, with a British style and an artificial hot spring facility. The owner was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, it exceeded our expectations.
