the main building lobby is very good, buffet dinner is good, even gets free parking,
Nice onsen! A bit of travel from annex. Interacting museum in- between! Thank you
Nice onsen! A bit of travel from annex. Interacting museum in- between! Thank you
The hotel is located in Kirishima, making it convenient to drive to Kagoshima and Sakurajima. The lobby has a great design, the room was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. Parking can be a bit tight near the main building.
Room was clean and spacy with great view of ocean and mountain. It takes a bit longer time for checking in than expected.
First, we loved the onsen and its services, where we soaked in three pools of different temperatures, sweated in a sauna, then alternately cooled ourselves in cold baths. Second, room services were excellent despite its furnishings seemed to be run down a bit. Third, its location is central to travel most places of interest, which spreads out in Kagoshima Prefecture.

Is a very good place for family stay. Kids friendly!!!
Very nice resort in the Kirishima mountains. Nice big rooms with a nice balcony. Free shoju is provided in the lobby nightly. Lots of toys and activities for families and kids. Great public onsen area with numerous indoor and outdoor pools. Great selection for dinner and breakfast buffets.
The onsen is big and amazing. The buffet dinner and breakfast are sumptuous with quality food! The room is spacious and comfortable. The only setback is the hotel is quite old and dated in the common places. With the quality food and best onsen, it's still a value for money hotel to be in.
Everything just average! Buffet dinner very disappointed, taste of the food just average and not many choices, breakfast is normal. I may not come again next time.
Great and serviceable. The location takes time to get to but you can manage a 40 minute bus ride it’s worth it. The water is so relaxing and the onsen is amazing to see. Great for families.
Hot spring hotel in an area renowned for its hot springs. I deliberately chose the Japanese tatami-style to experience more of the local culture. As you can see from the photos, the view from my room was really nice! I also like the fact that both dinner and breakfast were included, as there isn't much around. Very comfortable stay overall, but mind you - the smell of sulphur (possibly?) from the hot...

Excellent Resort Hotel Love the private onzen Breakfast was superb many varieties of local produce as well as sashimi
This hotel is excellent, offering incredible value for money. It's definitely the top choice on Mount Kirishima. The private hot springs are absolutely amazing!
It was okay, pretty standard. The hotel management program is worth mentioning, and the location is excellent.
Really comfortable hotel with 3 private onsen room to choose from. Buffet breakfast is simple but delicious.
Extremely good onsen resort. Excellent location with magnificent view. Room is clean and spacious with private onsen tub. Dinner and breakfast are also of great value. Free ramen for supper. Public onsen is great. Staff are all very welcoming and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Its a good place as a onsen resort hotel. The onsens are really good. The food is so so but they provide free flow ramen and ice-pop at night as supper and snack. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. There is a private onsen tub at the balcony of our room. It is so nice to enjoy it in the breezy spring. It will be better if you have own car to stay here. There do not have much choice of public...

I used this hotel on a business trip to Kirishima. Since it was last minute, most hotels were fully booked, but I was able to stay at a hotel with dinner at a buffet. Since my arrival was one hour before check-in, I had to wait in the lobby until 3 pm. The hotel seemed to be mainly for group guests, and the lobby was crowded with them coming one after another during the waiting time. Although it is...
When we arrived, I was surprised at how old the building was.. the inside decor is old fashioned and the whole place needs a new make over urgently. The room smelt of smoke but was advertised as non smoking. ( It could be the old carpets ) Most of the staff were polite, but some were a little grumpy. Onsen was not the best, but not the worst either. Evening meal was the only saving grace. Plenty of...
White lighting scheme inside guest room like that in funeral. WiFi reception was bad. Toitet was too small. Food, however, was good. Scene view was excellent too.
Good price accommodation for Kirishima. Onsen bath is not bad too.
Outdoor hot spring is better than indoor in terms of temperature and quality. Breakfast is ok, dinner not so good
Clean room / comfortable hotspring.

Room was very great (Overkill for a solo traveller but yolo). Services are also terrific, staff are very helpful, as expected from a hotel of such calibre. Food was outstanding. Close to bus stop if you opt for public transport, do note that the buses don’t run frequently. My room had independent onsen, both indoors and outdoors. It was great. The room had everything you need, facilities are sufficient...
This ryokan was a superb experience. We got the impression it doesn’t see many foreign tourists, but the team did a great job of looking after us. The food was of a very high quality and the chicken sashimi (yes, look it up) was delicious. Our huge room with private indoor and outdoor onsens was just a dream and we truly enjoyed it. Kirishima Onsen doesn’t have a major appeal outside the individual...
Overall it's OK, there's an outdoor public hot spring pool, and the rooms have private pools. Breakfast and dinner are provided, and the food is OK. It's not a buffet, it's provided by the hotel. You only know what food is available when you open the meal that day, and the taste is OK.
The hotel service is very attentive and the room is large and comfortable. The hot spring in the room is very comfortable, and there is also an open-air bath available. The meals in the evening and morning were excellent and featured local specialities.
I love the hot springs, the food, and the amount of food, and all the other hospitality, so I've been using this inn every year for the past few years on special occasions. It's an inn I'd like to recommend to my close friends.
The dinner is super. Room is up to standard. Private open-air onsen is good. The service lady is smart and looks cheerful. She can handle all works from front desk to room setting. We finally met her at dinner time.

Very nice! The staffs are helpful!
The overall experience is good! Meal are perfect and probably the best I ever tried. Staff are polite and greet with smile. However outdoor hot spring is a bit dirty, many bugs floating on the water.
The hotel is relatively new, the service is very good and the food is also good. The only downside is that the air conditioning in the room is not very good...
Nice food. Great location near airport!
The hotel is clean and the staff service is very good.
The garden environment is very beautiful, and each room is surrounded by a garden. It feels like there are no more than 10 rooms. The room I stayed in has a private hot spring with a wall, and you can't see inside from the outside. It's very comfortable to soak in the private hot spring. When I ate in the restaurant in the hotel on the day of check-in, the diners should be guests, but they should all...

Our stay was memorable, enjoyable, and relaxing. Service was impeccable and food delicious. I highly recommend it.
Isshin is a very private ryokan which can host only 7 separate house at a time. The facility is really peaceful and we were really enjoyed out indoor and outdoor private onsen in our house throughout our two day stay. The dinner and breakfast are also setup in separate room for each guest and the food were also top class. Really recommend for those who want to enjoy the peaceful nature in Kirishima
The environment is first-class and the hot springs are fantastic.
Facilities, service, staff attitude, etc. are all excellent without any shortcomings. The price was high, but it was worth it. I had a good rest.
The room was big and clean. There are hot springs both indoors and outdoors. In the slightly cool autumn weather, soaking in the hot springs in this comfortable environment is very relaxing. The food was also very good. However, due to the tight schedule, we checked out the next day without staying too late. I suggest you reserve more time when staying at this hotel.
Stayed as a family of three. A detached house. Open-air bath and indoor bath with running water. Meals in a private room. Japanese-Western style room. Barrier-free. It seems like there aren't many inns that meet all of these criteria. What's more, the food and hospitality are of a high level. I told them in advance about my bad legs and other handicap information, and they responded as well as I expected...

This hotel is a 20-minute taxi ride from Kagoshima Airport. The room comes with a private bath, and the dinner and breakfast are amazing, with different meals every night.
The rooms at this hotel are large and have great views. The open-air bath is especially nice, right next to the stream. The food is exquisite. My favorite is the foot bath, the view is stunning. Although Kyushu's hot springs are generally located in valleys with streams, this hotel still stands out for its scenery.
A super perfect experience, friendly service, perfect meals, unbeatable views, an unforgettable journey, especially the service from ********* people at the counter! I have already planned my next visit! It's great!
The service is very good, the staff can speak both Chinese and English, the room is also very good, unexpectedly large, the food is also good, with spring ingredients, the hot spring is also very good, and the scenery is also very good when you walk around.
The hotel room and food is one of the best! would highly recommend staying!
The room is very clean and tidy, the service is very thoughtful and meticulous, the scenery is pleasant, the hot spring is also very good, and there is a private hot spring

Rather than one dish that left a particularly strong impression, the overall meal was well-made and enjoyable from start to finish, leaving me very satisfied. I was worried that the hot spring would have a strong sulfur smell, but it wasn't that noticeable in reality, and the free-flowing hot spring water warmed me from the inside out, making it very comfortable. Nakai, the foreigner who took care...
The friendly, sophisticated service you'd expect from a traditional ryokan is matched by the delicious food. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a separate bedroom in addition to the traditional tatami room. Valet parking is available at the entrance. We ate privately in a separate room on the second floor. The kaiseki cuisine was beautiful, seasoned just right, not overly sweet, and...
Our first ryokan experience was here from 12/11/25 to 13/11/25. We stayed to our maximum time checking out at 11:00am and enjoying the 24 hour free coffees at the coffee room. The private onsen with luxuriously spacious bedroom, living room and bathroom was everything promised from the booking.com. Website. The onsens were well equipped, super well kept and clean with all thoughts to what would be...
A great place to stay, which features awesome food, friendly service and comfort room. In addition, it is close to the tourist spots.
If you're visiting Kirishima, this is a good choice. If you're going to Kirishima Shrine, this is the top choice, as it's a 10-minute walk from the shrine and within a 10-minute drive of other attractions like ranches. Crucially, the service is exceptional; they proactively ask where you're going and usually offer pick-up and drop-off. The hotel has about 10 rooms, and you rarely see guests, except...
This hot spring inn offers excellent traditional Japanese service. Their service, ambiance, rooms, and food are comparable to a five- or six-star hotel. The surrounding environment blends seamlessly with nature. They have lovely foreign staff who are very helpful and accommodating to English-speaking guests. If I had the time, I would love to stay longer.
