professional, very friendly staff as i experience every time staying at APA. rooms are exceptionally clean and in good condition, even more than in other APA hotels. maybe it’s a newer building.

Value beats everything else. I got a great deal off Booking and enjoyed my quiet stay while traveling further south to Kagoshima. Location is actually really good. The 7/11 that’s a 1 minute walk really helps too. Clean and decent sized room for single traveler.

I felt that parking directions needed to be more considerate, regardless of whether there were spaces available or not.

Located on Kokubu's main street, we had no trouble finding dinner even after staying two nights. We visited a shop selling handcrafted beer and a local restaurant serving excellent chicken sashimi. We especially recommend Yaei, run by the owner, who spent a long time in China. When we canceled our sheet change due to multiple nights of stay, we received a Q-card instead. Even with a plan that includes breakfast, it's cheaper than the surrounding hotels. The rooms are small, but very clean. This hotel offers great value for money.

It was clean for the price, and the breakfast was buffet style with Japanese food and was neat. The location was convenient as it was easy to catch the airport bus and there was a mart nearby.

The room size is smaller than that of a normal Japanese hotel, the breakfast is just okay, and the price-performance ratio is extremely low. The only saving grace is that the parking lot is free and there are many restaurants around, but there are no other hotels to choose from in this area.

I just came back from enjoying the hot springs. It's a shame there aren't any restaurants nearby.

The hot springs are very satisfying. It's a bit far away, so there aren't many restaurants within walking distance. The staff are very friendly.

I booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced. It's an old hotel, but the interior has been renovated and is beautiful. Easy to access from airport, we take public transport

Good stay with onsen in room. Public onsen on the 4/F with great view was absolutely stunning. Breakfast buffet in the newly decorated hall was nice and no complaint.

We had half board included in the room booking. The food, both dinner and breakfast were very good and out of expectation! The hotel was old but our room seemed to have been renovated so it was ok.

Super Hotel Minamata

Minamata Super hotel is conveniently located with supermarket and eateries nearby. Staff is polite and helpful. Will come back again.

I wish there was a deodorizing spray in the toilets. They only serve drinks up to 20p, which is too early. It says it's ionized water, but I don't feel like drinking the water that comes out of the tap.

The only disappointment was that it was a unit bath, but everything else was very good.

I was able to stay hydrated with plenty of ice and water, and there was also a welcome bar, which was very helpful.

The staff's service and greetings were very pleasant. Although the hotel is old, it is kept clean and well-maintained, so I didn't feel uncomfortable. For consecutive nights, it was very helpful that the beds were not made and bottled water was provided. It would have been even better if there had been fruit for breakfast. I will definitely use this hotel again when I visit Minamata.

2nd year that we have stayed here. Lovely staff and nice Japanese breakfast in the morning. Close enough to the places we want to go.

Urban Hotel Kokubu

This hotel boasts about its breakfast, and it was certainly delicious compared to the average business hotel. However, there is nothing around the hotel. The hotel has a parking lot, so it may be a good option for people traveling by car.

I stayed in a Japanese-style room. It had been renovated and was very clean. The breakfast was homemade and delicious, just as the reviews said.

The breakfast was very satisfying! Other than that, it felt like a typical business hotel and was neither good nor bad. The bathroom facilities felt a little old and the shower curtain was not water-repellent.

I stayed with three friends, and the amenities and service were excellent! The breakfast variety was so good we ate too much! lol I'd love to stay again!

I booked breakfast, but it was so delicious that I ate too much and wasn't hungry by lunchtime. The vegetable dishes, especially the okra and eggplant, were particularly impressive. I'd love to eat there again if I have the chance.

It was raining at Kagoshima Airport. My flight to Tanegashima was canceled, so I had to stay overnight near Kokubu Station. I had a comfortable stay. Thank you.

Miyakonojo Sun Plaza Hotel

For breakfast, you can choose from Japanese, Western, chicken nanban, or fried chicken 😍 It was delicious and filling 😁 The futon was also fluffy 😍 The bath was only a shower, but that was just right 😊

Although the parking fee was free, I was charged 500 yen and paid it.

The exterior is old, but each room was renovated and was an urban hotel. In particular, I was assigned a large room for people with disabilities, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. The convenience store is a little far away, but since Don Quijote is next door, it's not a problem to procure alcohol and snacks.

We stayed for 2 nights without meals on the top floor overlooking the Kirishima mountain range. Kirishima Shuzo, which is famous for the black Kirishima of shochu, is located in front of you across National Highway No. 10, and it is a lively location near Megadonki, Uniqlo, Karukan Jokiya steam shop, and restaurants. There is also a sauna, but I was surprised that I couldn't enter the super hot bath...

the hotel is nice , staff are friendly , the price including the breakfast and dinner and the food and service is really good. The room is clean and big. There are many hot springs and all are very good . The garden has a feet hot spring . provide free coffee and tea in the libarary. I will come again. The reception gave us a present when we leave. there is a green tea, egg and towel , very thoughtful

All the reasons to book this hotel: amazing view from the room, wonderful kaiseki dinner, and private onsen with a view.

Nice onsen overlooking Sakurajima. Should have provided socks like other ryokan. Disappointed as no coffee served in the ryokan. Overall quite a comfortable stayed.

The hotel is relatively old, the location was great with free parking however the couch was very squeaky therefore wasn’t really functional.

The hotel is next to the train station, very convenient. Breakfast was very good, like home cooked meal. Staff are friendly and helpful eventhough they could not speak my language. Its a pity we could not get to eat at the nearby stalls due to New Year period as most stalls were closed. We stayed here for 1 purpose - to catch the migrating crane very early morning.

I stayed here for just a night. The best thing about it is that it's close to the bar district. The rooms aren't exactly the cleanest, but I think it's fine if you're just looking to sleep. The price is also reasonably cheap, so don't expect too much. The large public bath is apparently not currently open. The staff were all very nice.

The covered parking is a big plus for motorcyclists. The room has a somewhat retro feel, but I had no complaints whatsoever. It was convenient and comfortable, being close to the city center.

I booked a twin room. There were two beds, but one was about the size of a semi-double or double, so I was able to rest comfortably. It was a room-only stay, and I had a leisurely 11am checkout. The front desk staff were also kind and helpful, and I was very satisfied. I would like to use this hotel again when I visit Izumi.

This is a long-established hotel located near Izumi City's so-called drinking district. It boasts Japanese and Western-style ceremony halls and a venue for large parties, including wedding receptions. It's a very old inn and the interior hasn't been renovated, but it still seemed to be well cleaned and maintained. My plan included dinner and breakfast, and there was a wide variety of buffet items, so I was very satisfied. It was summer vacation, so there were a lot of children there, and I could hear footsteps from upstairs until late at night, which made it difficult to sleep, which was a bit disappointing

This hotel had a spacious room for three people and outstanding guests door and outdoor onsen bathes. I highly recommend this hotel. We plan to stay there on our next trip.

We had a triple-person room, but the Japanese-style futon was very hard and the bed springs were hard too! The toilet was tiny!

The building was old, but it had been renovated properly, which was nice. The bath and washroom in the room were still the same as they were in the Showa era, which was nice in its own way. The hot spring was spacious, with white hot spring water, and the view from the balcony was amazing.

Quality hotel - 20 mins drive from Ebino Plateau Good base for exploring area. Rooms are huge with great views. Kaseki dining in-room was excellent. Large indoor and small outdoor onsen provided variety. Helpful staff given we were probably the only non-Japanese staying there.

I stayed at the hotel with a one-night stay and two-meals plan. The facilities are old, but the staff are energetic and hospitable, and it was a comfortable stay. The hot spring facility, which is frequented by many locals, was also great. The toilet in the room didn't have a washlet, which was a bit of a problem for me as I tend to get stomachaches.

The rooms are old and small. However, the attractive hot springs and dining area make up for all those shortcomings. This time I ordered à la carte rather than dinner. Everything was delicious. The hot springs are also fantastic, with water directly from the source. Since there's no need to travel, it's bliss to just eat, drink, and go to sleep. It would be great if I could take a bath in the hot springs...
