Our first ryokan experience was here from 12/11/25 to 13/11/25. We stayed to our maximum time checking out at 11:00am and enjoying the 24 hour free coffees at the coffee room.

The private onsen with luxuriously spacious bedroom, living room and bathroom was everything promised from the booking.com. Website.

The onsens were well equipped, super well kept and clean with all thoughts to what would be needed not just the basic toiletries but also the skin essence before the skin lotion, and the hair essence.

We onsened 3 times at this ryokan and enjoyed every second of our stay.

Dinner and breakfast (we had half board) were scrumptious and beautifully presented with first class service and care from Mira San, our Nepalese English speaking server.

We want to come back again with our daughters.

Rather than one dish that left a particularly strong impression, the overall meal was well-made and enjoyable from start to finish, leaving me very satisfied. I was worried that the hot spring would have a strong sulfur smell, but it wasn't that noticeable in reality, and the free-flowing hot spring water warmed me from the inside out, making it very comfortable. Nakai, the foreigner who took care of us, was a little hesitant at times, but he was kind and tried his best to help me throughout, which I really liked. Overall, it was a relaxing, comfortable, and very satisfying stay.

The friendly, sophisticated service you'd expect from a traditional ryokan is matched by the delicious food. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a separate bedroom in addition to the traditional tatami room. Valet parking is available at the entrance. We ate privately in a separate room on the second floor. The kaiseki cuisine was beautiful, seasoned just right, not overly sweet, and delicious. It's close to Takachiho Country Club, making it easy to access the golf course.

If you're visiting Kirishima, this is a good choice. If you're going to Kirishima Shrine, this is the top choice, as it's a 10-minute walk from the shrine and within a 10-minute drive of other attractions like ranches. Crucially, the service is exceptional; they proactively ask where you're going and usually offer pick-up and drop-off. The hotel has about 10 rooms, and you rarely see guests, except for the private onsen. Even the large bathroom was empty when I passed by, very quiet and very Japanese. The food is exquisite, with seasonal ingredients; it would be even better if they offered American-style breakfasts. The hotel's airport transfer service exceeded expectations, taking only half an hour to Kagoshima Airport.

This hot spring inn offers excellent traditional Japanese service. Their service, ambiance, rooms, and food are comparable to a five- or six-star hotel. The surrounding environment blends seamlessly with nature. They have lovely foreign staff who are very helpful and accommodating to English-speaking guests. If I had the time, I would love to stay longer.

Stayed at this hotel on 5/20, the service quality is very high, dinner is in a private room, dishes are served one by one, it looks like French Japanese cuisine, the room is also very beautiful👍🏻

The environment is very relaxing. The service attitude is also first-rate. There are actually staff who can speak Cantonese, which is very good. The Japanese food is very exciting.
The laundry water is from Pola, and there is heating in the room, so you don't have to worry about the cold.
