The hotel is located in Kirishima, making it convenient to drive to Kagoshima and Sakurajima. The lobby has a great design, the room was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. Parking can be a bit tight near the main building.

Room was clean and spacy with great view of ocean and mountain. It takes a bit longer time for checking in than expected.

First, we loved the onsen and its services, where we soaked in three pools of different temperatures, sweated in a sauna, then alternately cooled ourselves in cold baths. Second, room services were excellent despite its furnishings seemed to be run down a bit. Third, its location is central to travel most places of interest, which spreads out in Kagoshima Prefecture.

The onsen is big and amazing. The buffet dinner and breakfast are sumptuous with quality food! The room is spacious and comfortable. The only setback is the hotel is quite old and dated in the common places. With the quality food and best onsen, it's still a value for money hotel to be in.

Hot spring hotel in an area renowned for its hot springs. I deliberately chose the Japanese tatami-style to experience more of the local culture. As you can see from the photos, the view from my room was really nice! I also like the fact that both dinner and breakfast were included, as there isn't much around. Value beats everything else. I got a great deal off Booking and enjoyed my quiet stay while traveling further south to Kagoshima. Location is actually really good. The 7/11 that’s a 1 minute walk really helps too. Clean and decent sized room for single traveler.

Even with a plan that includes breakfast, it's cheaper than the surrounding hotels. The rooms are small, but very clean. This hotel offers great value for money.

It was clean for the price, and the breakfast was buffet style with Japanese food and was neat. The location was convenient as it was easy to catch the airport bus and there was a mart nearby.

The room size is smaller than that of a normal Japanese hotel, the breakfast is just okay, and the price-performance ratio is extremely low. The only saving grace is that the parking lot is free and there are many restaurants around, but there are no other hotels to choose from in this area.

This hotel is a 20-minute taxi ride from Kagoshima Airport. The room comes with a private bath, and the dinner and breakfast are amazing, with different meals every night.

The rooms at this hotel are large and have great views. The open-air bath is especially nice, right next to the stream. The food is exquisite. My favorite is the foot bath, the view is stunning. Although Kyushu's hot springs are generally located in valleys with streams, this hotel still stands out for its scenery.

Easy to access from airport, we take public transport

Good stay with onsen in room. Public onsen on the 4/F with great view was absolutely stunning. Breakfast buffet in the newly decorated hall was nice and no complaint.

We had half board included in the room booking. The food, both dinner and breakfast were very good and out of expectation! The hotel was old but our room seemed to have been renovated so it was ok.

Minamata Super hotel is conveniently located with supermarket and eateries nearby. Staff is polite and helpful. Will come back again.

I wish there was a deodorizing spray in the toilets. They only serve drinks up to 20p, which is too early. It says it's ionized water, but I don't feel like drinking the water that comes out of the tap.

The only disappointment was that it was a unit bath, but everything else was very good.

I was able to stay hydrated with plenty of ice and water, and there was also a welcome bar, which was very helpful.

The staff's service and greetings were very pleasant. Although the hotel is old, it is kept clean and well-maintained, so I didn't feel uncomfortable. For consecutive nights, it was very helpful that the beds were not made and bottled water was provided. It would have been even better if there had been fruit for breakfast. The onsen provides 4 types of water, sulphuric, salty, iron and one more. There are clear guides on the composition of the water and patients of what diseases may benefit from the onsen. It located close to a gas outlet and a trail (15 mins walk) with many Japanese Cedar, a lovely and peaceful trail. It is a big hotel but still maintains the Japanese attentiveness.

The hot spring area is quite large, with many different pools, including a mixed-gender bathing area, which ladies who aren't afraid to try can give it a go. The hotel is located on a hilltop, making it easily accessible by car. There's a magnificent century-old cedar forest nearby.

Apart from the dated room, everything was good. The hotel was set at a beautiful and tranquil cypress woodlands. Dinner and breakfast were good. The highlight of this hotel was its gigantic hot spring garden. The water was so good that we would come back for the hot spring experience.

This time I came to Kagoshima on a solo trip. I've always loved hot springs, so I stayed at Iodani Onsen Kirishima Hotel. The hot springs at this inn were absolutely gorgeous. There was a spacious open-air bath, and I was able to enjoy a variety of different types, which was very relaxing. Also, the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes unique to Kagoshima, such as akumaki and chicken rice...

Best hot spring facilities in the area. Room has individual bathroom with bathtub and toilet. Staff would place the mattress for you after dinner time. High class set dinner and buffet breakfast. Unforgettable memory!

This hotel boasts about its breakfast, and it was certainly delicious compared to the average business hotel. However, there is nothing around the hotel. The hotel has a parking lot, so it may be a good option for people traveling by car.

I stayed in a Japanese-style room. It had been renovated and was very clean. The breakfast was homemade and delicious, just as the reviews said.

The breakfast was very satisfying! Other than that, it felt like a typical business hotel and was neither good nor bad. The bathroom facilities felt a little old and the shower curtain was not water-repellent.

It was raining at Kagoshima Airport. My flight to Tanegashima was canceled, so I had to stay overnight near Kokubu Station. I had a comfortable stay. Thank you.

It's been a while since I last used the hotel. Apparently the parking lot has been expanded recently, but the day I used it, it was very busy and the one near the hotel was full, but the staff kindly came out and showed me the location of another parking lot. It was dark at night and I had trouble finding the location, so they were very helpful. Thank you very much.

The room space was just right for a business hotel, with a table that was just right for working on the computer, power outlets, Wi-Fi, and everything you need. Breakfast consisted of just two slices of bread and a drink. I would recommend this business hotel.

The room itself was okay... But the mattress they had was too hard. It was as if they forgot the mattress and just used the box spring.... I did not sleep well.

For breakfast, you can choose from Japanese, Western, chicken nanban, or fried chicken 😍 It was delicious and filling 😁 The futon was also fluffy 😍 The bath was only a shower, but that was just right 😊

Although the parking fee was free, I was charged 500 yen and paid it.

The exterior is old, but each room was renovated and was an urban hotel. In particular, I was assigned a large room for people with disabilities, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. The convenience store is a little far away, but since Don Quijote is next door, it's not a problem to procure alcohol and snacks.

We stayed for 2 nights without meals on the top floor overlooking the Kirishima mountain range. Kirishima Shuzo, which is famous for the black Kirishima of shochu, is located in front of you across National Highway No. 10, and it is a lively location near Megadonki, Uniqlo, Karukan Jokiya steam shop, and restaurants. There is also a sauna, but I was surprised that I couldn't enter the super hot bath...

Overall it's OK, there's an outdoor public hot spring pool, and the rooms have private pools. Breakfast and dinner are provided, and the food is OK. It's not a buffet, it's provided by the hotel. You only know what food is available when you open the meal that day, and the taste is OK.

The hotel is relatively old, the location was great with free parking however the couch was very squeaky therefore wasn’t really functional.

The hotel is next to the train station, very convenient. Breakfast was very good, like home cooked meal. Staff are friendly and helpful eventhough they could not speak my language. Its a pity we could not get to eat at the nearby stalls due to New Year period as most stalls were closed. We stayed here for 1 purpose - to catch the migrating crane very early morning.

Located near Kajiki IC, this may be the only business hotel in Kajiki Town. With just over 50 rooms, it's easy to make a reservation. However, there is no elevator and there are many steps, so it may be difficult to access if you have large carry-on bags or are in a wheelchair.

I accidentally reserved a smoking room, but they changed it to a non-smoking room on the day, which I'm grateful for. There's a convenience store and drugstore nearby, and an izakaya about 1km away. Breakfast is served at the attached Joyfull. This is a perfectly fine business hotel.

I used this hotel when I had a drinking party in Aira. My companion uses it regularly, and this time we stayed overnight. I think the rooms are nice and cozy. What I liked most was that breakfast was served at the Joyful restaurant attached to the hotel. I went out briefly this time, but since it's directly connected to the hotel, it would be good on rainy days too.

There's nothing nearby. If you're staying by public transport, your only option is to eat at Joyfull. Also, there's no elevator, so you have to carry your suitcases by hand. I chose a smoking room, but even so, the smell was strong. I've written a lot, but If you're staying here on a business trip rather than on vacation, the front desk service is not bad, it's cheap, and I think you can accept that

I stayed here for just a night. The best thing about it is that it's close to the bar district. The rooms aren't exactly the cleanest, but I think it's fine if you're just looking to sleep. The price is also reasonably cheap, so don't expect too much. The large public bath is apparently not currently open. The staff were all very nice.

The covered parking is a big plus for motorcyclists. The room has a somewhat retro feel, but I had no complaints whatsoever. It was convenient and comfortable, being close to the city center.

I booked a twin room. There were two beds, but one was about the size of a semi-double or double, so I was able to rest comfortably. It was a room-only stay, and I had a leisurely 11am checkout. The front desk staff were also kind and helpful, and I was very satisfied. I would like to use this hotel again when I visit Izumi.
