The hotel itself has been recently renovated, and the modern details definitely appeal to younger generations. The amenities are decent for the price, so I was impressed in those areas. However, at check-in, the reception ladies (3 of them) were speaking amongst themselves in a way that made me feel very uncomfortable. They were giggling and discussing “gaijin” (foreigners) in a manner that felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. This kind of behavior is completely inappropriate and not something I expected in any setting.
It’s unfortunate because the hotel has a lot of potential to be a great choice for travelers, but this experience left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.
Until the staff receives proper training in respect and professionalism, I wouldn’t recommend staying here—especially as a foreigner.
