The Celecton Fukushima in Fukushima

We stayed at The Celecton Fukushima for 2 nights, three months ago, and had a wonderful experience as a couple. The location is super convenient - just a short walk from the station, with restaurants and shops nearby. Our room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth even with limited Japanese. We really appreciated the little touches, like complimentary toiletries and the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast buffet had a nice mix of Japanese and Western options. It was a great base for exploring Fukushima City. We’d happily stay here again on our next visit.

The hotel has a great location being just next to the train station. The rooms were nice and clean. For anyone visiting Fukushima that is looking for a very central and fairly priced hotel I would say you can’t go wrong with this one !

Visibly right outside of west exit of Fukushima station hence a nice station view. Furniture a bit old and no automatic door lock but the interior feels kinda cozy and homey so I like it in a way. Bathroom is newly renovated so it’s still a comfortable stay. No electric outlet near the bed and no warm bed-light but it’s ok.

I typically don’t have many expectations for a hotel buffet breakfast but the food was overall quite good and filling. The butter croissants 🥐 were so good!!! I missed out on the free evening curry (18-22h) so that would’ve been nice to try.

Staff are friendly and accommodating. They brought my luggage that I left earlier in the day directly to my room. Check in and check out are both super fast. We booked on Booking so it was less than ¥7,000 for a queen bed for a night. Loved the stay!

I had a wonderful stay at the Celecton! The staff was so accommodating, even to my unreasonable request to change to a room with a nice view. The young man at the desk helped me out. And the view over Fukushima city and seeing the shinkansen fly by, was great. The free curry was fun, though it seems just like instant curry, I didn't notice any special flavour or colour. They helped us fix the broken coffee machine too. Cleaning lady was extremely polite! And updated our room with all the needed items. I stayed for 5 nights, and though the hotel is old style, it's fun to enjoy, like a trip back in time. I liked the glass elevator, got a kick riding it every time. And the location was excellent 👌🏻

Good low-budget hotel! It’s LITERALLY next to Fukushima station! There’s 2 convenient stores and an Ito close by. My room had a lovely view of the sunrise too!
Only a few headaches about this place… there’s no microwave in the room, so you’ll have to go downstairs to the lobby to use the public one. (Can be troublesome if you’re already comfortable and relaxed in your room, especially if you’re higher than the 5th floor). Also there are limited power outlets. So if you have several electronics that needs charging, it might be a hassle.
Overall, the place is great and the staff was friendly! Will definitely come back! :)

I think that a budget hotel should be evaluated on its location and cleanliness. If your budget is low and you are reasonable in your expectations, then book this hotel without a second thought. The hotel does not have parking facilities - but in the surroundings there are multiple paid parking lots where the rates can be as low as 400 Yen- 500 Yen for 24 hours.

In front of the station? Is this the back? The hotel is directly in front of you, at the west exit. Parking is a little far away. The room was very quiet and it was my first visit with children, but I felt very relieved. Can I say that the walls are thick... I asked for a lot of bath towels for the children, but they kindly agreed. Thank you very much. The bath in the room was very good and I booked a room with a separate bath and toilet, but it was big enough to accommodate children.

It's clean and big, just across the street from the station. They have parking for 700/800 per night as well a short walking distance from the hotel.

Great room, no washing machine but overall a lovely stay. No problems
