Richmond Yamagata Ekimae is the best. Price is best, service and cleanliness is superb. Free Soba, ice cream and soft drink on 2nd till 10:00pm. Highly recommended!

Lovely stay in Yamagata, would definitely recommend!

At night they have cold or hot soba for free starting at 8pm Is just around 200meter away from jr station The lobby at second floor Toyota rent a car just below the hotel The free facial mask is so good to use The bed is very comfortable and two pillows provided

Around 5 min walk from JR station and there is a Aeon next to it. Good for a short stay before heading to ZAO.

Spacious and clean room for family of 4! The massage chair in the room was superb for relaxing after a tiring day back to hotel. Complimentary foods and drinks provided by hotel was sufficient to fill your crave ♥️

This hotel is located conveniently. There are railway stations and bus terminals near. You can use this hotel as a base and visit other places by public transport

Nice location Just less than five minutes walking distance from Yamagata station, a 24 hours supermarket just behind the hotel Onsen is good Overall nice hotel

There is an artificial onsen on the 14th floor, which was good for a soak after a long day. Breakfast buffet was basic but tasty

Good location. Very close the station,have a public bath but too small. Breaskfast is good.

The room was clean and well-insulated, equipped with heating and an air purifier. Bathing in the large public bath was very comfortable, and there were coin-operated washers and dryers available

Warm foods like rice, miso soup, bacon, stir fried veggies, etc were available in addition to some pastries and bread with butter and jams. Will definitely stay again when in the Yamagata area

A 24-hour supermarket is just a one-minute walk away, and Yamagata Station is a three-minute walk, which was incredibly convenient

I was very impressed with my stay at this hotel. The service was good, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was varied. If I come back here again, I will definitely stay here again

The staff is very helpfull. Cek in and cek out process are easy. The room is compact. The scenery I can see from room window are amazing. I don't booking room with breakfast, so I can give a review about the food.

Great location, clean room that matched the pictures. The only downside was the parking; it's available but comes with an extra charge. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were lovely and very helpful

The hotel is a bit old, but everything is generally fine. Housekeeping daily. It's about a 5-minute walk to the station. There are cafes, shops, and the bus terminal to Sendai nearby.

This hotel offers great value for money, especially during ski season. It's conveniently located not far from Yamagata Station, making it easy to get around.

Given the low room price I wasn't expecting much but ended up with a relatively spacious room with a great view of the city

The room was very large and spacious for a family of three. The hotel was a bit dated, but very comfortable. The beds were not the best, not very supportive on the back and shoulders

Pleasant stay. Staff were helpful. Covid protocols seemed good.

The rooms are a bit small; you'll need to book the largest one to get a separate lounge area. There's a parking discount available; just ask the front desk when you check in

Good location. Clean and easy to find. Quite centralised..

Good hotel. A little far away from the Yamagata station. Compact rooms. Extra Plug points could’ve been kept. There’s only a pair in the whole room.

All necessary toiletries are provided. If you don't mind the location, it's a very good choice

Very convenient hotel which have a direct access to Yamagata train station. I made a right decision to stay in this hotel in Late December as the heavy snow made it difficult to walk in the road with huge luggages

Had another enjoyable stay at Yamagata Eki Nishiguchi Washington Hotel. This time I especially appreciated how quiet and peaceful the hotel was, making it easy to get a proper rest even after a long day of travel

The room was clean and well-kept, with everything functioning properly and arranged in a practical way. It’s not large, but it feels comfortable and efficient for solo travelers or short stays

What stood out on this visit was the consistency of service—staff were still very polite and attentive, and the check-in process was quick and smooth

Location is excellent for transport and restaurants. Good for easy daily commute to Zao Onsen. The single room is tiny which was fine for me but if you have big suitcase or ski kit it will be cramped

Excellent! Although the room was a bit compact, it had everything I needed, and the value for money was exceptional. The front desk even offered coffee in the mornings and bath bombs

Very convenient hotel. Public bath is super helpful and breakfasts are good. But be careful if you are more than 1.85m tall, you will hit ceilings.

Friendly staff, large rooms, excellent food all that at a reasonable price. The rooms themselves feel a bit old, and the onsen is comparatively small, but all in all it is a good place to stay

Enjoyed a relaxing day! There are plenty of lounging areas within the hotel. We booked a room with a private onsen bath. One night with two meals, very satisfying. The staff were polite. ❤️❤️❤️

The service was excellent, and the staff were very proactive and friendly. The food was also great, and the environment was incredibly comfortable and peaceful. It was a truly relaxing hot spring trip!

It's a very nice hotel, especially the four rooms with private hot springs on the first floor, which are definitely worth it. It would be even more comfortable on a snowy winter day.

Hotel located at hilltop adjacent to Zao ropeway station. It’s onsen is really good despite quite acidic. Don’t soak too long or it’ll be exceptionally itchy to your skin. Package dinner is ok.

The hotel is very large, with very good facilities. You can rent ski equipment, buy ski tickets, have a good dinner, and the service staff is warm and thoughtful. It is a very good stay experience

Although not exactly ski-in-ski-out but location is good enough. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Facilities are well-maintained.

Very grand nice hotel, beautiful meals, great Onsens, handy for the ski lifts. Excellent staff cater efficiently to request. Lovely entrance and foyer.

Good room, great Onsen and close to ski area. Breakfast and dinner included in price and attention to the fine art of the Japanese it was superb.

If you are looking for great food, spectacular hot spring (sulfur-based meditating onsen inside and outside) and amazing customer service, you should try this hotel ! -service: Hotel is very clean and staff is extremely nice

The public bath in the hotel is not a hot spring but you can walk 2 min to the detached onsen bathhouse by the hotel entrance. During daytime, you can use the sisters’ hotel onsen too (need to ask reception for a pass)

The biggest perks is it provides free shuttle pick up to and from Yamagata station while most of Zao hotels provide pick up from Zao bus station. Food is great, onsen is great, everything is neat and tidy

You don’t always know what you’re eating, but it’s a perfect spot for people who value local flavor over international standardisation. Then only a few minutes walk to the ski lift! We will be back again

Opened in 2020, very new!!! Bed is good, Air conditioner is good. Breakfast is good, Near the gondola is good. The Greatest B&B you can get in Zao Onsen.

The room is okay with good view but the lobby smells a bit like cigarettes

The hotel's staff ( the man & old lady ) not speek English. But they were very nice & kind. Both of them gave us the best service!

this is one of the good place i ever stay, the breakfast buffet was good, a lot of variety to eat. the room is clean anda quiet place to relax. the skii was also near it very affordable even playing for snow only

Totally no regrets staying here for 3 nights and would do it again if I were in the area. Breakfast here was good, they serve it from 7

The receptionist who served us is an amazing woman who does so many things - running the cafe, cleaning our rooms and toilets, manning the check-ins and outs. And she does it all with a big smile

The perfect place to stay if you are in the area. Location-wise, it is just a stone's throw away from the Zao Ropeway and mulitple ski rental shops

Still, that's a fairly minor gripe, and the quality and low price (especially when combined with their member's card) means Toyoko Inn is usually my first choice when booking a hotel
