Definitely further out from the city centre. The hostel rooms/beds are just okay but the service is lovely, there is an AC, wifi connection can be a tad bit slower at times, the shower itself is spacious. the main advantage going for the place is the active efforts put into keeping it social and vibrant. the staff and volunteers work hard clearly. there is always something organised and going on, and the whatsapp gotcha makes it far easier to stay connected which makes this a great spot for solo travellers. i see it as you either pay for hotel like amenities but have an isolating experience or prioritise a really social atmosphere like at Apple Hostel over fancy rooms.
there is a 24h market right nearby and a fresh bread/shashlik. also note, yandex drops you off a little further out if you input the address as Apple Hostel. Just keep walking straight and left from the supermarket.

Great stay! We arrived late in the evening and couldn’t find the entrance. After giving him a call, Emir came to meet us and guided us to the entrance. Everything was well organized, and we had a comfortable night’s stay.
Unfortunately, we ended up missing our flight, but Emir made sure we still had a nice place to stay. He was also very flexible with the check-out time. He was understanding of our situation and genuinely happy to help us. Highly recommended!

The place doesn’t look like the photos, and it’s quite difficult to find at night since it’s very dark, with no clear sign or lighting. The surrounding area is mostly empty, except for a 24-hour supermarket nearby.
I initially thought this was a hotel, but it’s actually a hostel. Because of that, alcohol is not allowed even I stay in single room and you may be fined if staff find out. There was also a rule about using towels to wipe the toilet floor, which felt a bit unnecessary, I think it would make more sense to provide proper floor mats instead of warning guests.
On the positive side, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and provided great customer service, which I appreciated.
However, there was no hot water during my stay, which made showering frustrating.
Overall, it was an okay experience. While there were some good aspects, I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Very kind and accomodating staff especially meer1mkg and the manager. Good service, rooms are clean. Very comfortable and affordable for its price. They even help us to buy the white honey which is a rare one. Food was great and prepared early.

We had a fabulous stay at Apple Hostel Bishkek for 3 nights and truly enjoyed every moment. We booked a private room for two (comes with our own private bathroom), which was very spacious, clean, and comfortable.
All the facilities were well maintained. The kitchen was spotless, the living room was cozy and welcoming with big screen & comfortable couch, complete with board games and the canteen was superb. One of the highlights of our stay was the chance to learn how to cook plov, the national dish of Kyrgyzstan — such a meaningful and memorable experience!
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Zana, who made us feel at home from the very beginning.
Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and for giving us the opportunity to learn more about your beautiful country. We will definitely come back one fine day. Highly recommended!

We initially planned to stay in a yurt, but with temperatures dropping to -5°C at night, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a more comfortable room — one with a queen bed and another with three single beds. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, including a bidet in the bathroom. Overall, our stay was very pleasant, and the staff’s flexibility and attention to comfort made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
