BestHost Hostel in Bishkek

We booked accomodation for 6 people on Booking, and chatted with the receptionist that we will arrive after 22:00, and they responded that it is okay. When we arrived there, they said there is no place left for us, and she will ask another hostel to host us. She said that 25 people arrived in a group, and they have no place left, she didn’t care that we booked hours earlier. Then she started making phone calls to hostels, but noone did accept us, and we were almost left on the streets of Bishkek at 11 at night. Then our friend started complaining, and in the end it turned out they actually have place for 6 people.

We had to wait until after midnight for our beds to be made, and it was super tiring to wait 2 hours in stress after a long day for accomodation that we already booked! And it is crazy that they actually had place for us, but would’ve left us on the street if my friend doesn’t start arguing and complaining heavily.

I really don’t recommend this place, they don’t respect people, I think they only care about how they can make more money. Its not “Besthostel”, rather “Worsthostel”…

And the woman did not know a word in english.

The first time we stayed in Beat Host , the dormitory room was clean and tidy except there was a pair of super smelly socks in the shower room since late night which made you a headache. We thought it was a coincidence.
Two weeks later we came again , the lady in bed No. 15 came back late at night, and the smell of foot odor and other odors filled the whole room, making people nauseous and difficult to sleep. I was opposite her without a bed curtain which means no where to hide and it’s fully booked that night we can’t even change. (Yes, it seems that she has rented here for a long time because She was there last time as well ) I asked the staff for feedback and used air freshener(The staff also seemed used to this situation ), suffered such a difficult long night finally run away in early morning.

Maybe the owner should give some rules and audits to long-term tenants, or at least separate them from travelers to different rooms.
