Sergei is the best host! He took really good care of us before and after the hike to Ala Kul. The breakfast is amazing and Bella is a super cute dog.

We stayed here in July. Best accomodation we had in Kyrgyzstan. Hosts are very hospitable, especially if you understand little bit of Russian/other slavic languages. The only downside are the beds, which are little bit less comfortable. The dog Bela is very friendly.

Great place to stay in Karakol! Sergei and his wife are such kind hosts. Nice and clean room with hot shower and a great breakfast. Sergei helped us with any information needed, and we could do our laundry there. Nice atmosphere with the other guests as well. Highly recommended!! Thank you Sergei!

Fantastic guest house. Sergei and his wife are excellent hosts - and Bella the dog was a delight. Rooms were clean and very cosy, the en-suite bathrooms are also a big plus. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Karakol.

We definitely recommend this guesthouse. It offers an excellent value for money, especially compared to other accommodations in Karakol. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The owners are super kind and always ready to help. We did the Ala Kul trekking and they kept our big backpacks for free. Had a wonderful time here - just a short one-night stay, but we really enjoyed and found everything we were looking for. The yurts are comfortable and have plenty of space. Pretty warm on a cool autumn night, but there were (very effective) heaters included in case it got too cold. There were a couple of showers and toilets available for everyone, and they were clean, well-kept and had warm water....

The accommodation and kitchen were clean, and the staff was welcoming. It was a pleasure to stay there. I also recommend this place for foreigners because you can book a tourist tour right on-site.

The hosts are friendly and the location is excellent. The rooms were basic, but clean. The shower and bathroom is in a seperate building outside via a courtyard, likewise for the kitchen. The parking seems to be good if you're traveling by vehicle, and security seemed satisfactory. A budget option, perhaps best suited for short transfers or layovers.

I stayed at Ashu Guest House while working remotely, and it was a lovely experience. I requested a mountain view and was gladly accommodated with a beautiful one. The local cuisine served was delicious, giving me a true taste of the region. The staff were kind, attentive, and made sure I felt at home throughout my stay. Highly recommended for both work and leisure!

Fantastic location. The rooms are comfortable though my room only had twin beds and there were no shelves in the ensuite for putting toiletries on. There is a large swimming pool and a sauna. More importantly, there are wonderful (though slightly interrupted) views of the mountains. The food is made using fresh, local produce. The breakfast was particularly good.

I highly recommend this lovely guest house in Kemin. I have stayed here twice, and the service is always wonderful and accommodating. The rooms and facilities give a great atmosphere for a village retreat in Kyrgyzstan. The views and nature around the area are spectacular. Perfect choice for a peaceful weekend away from city life.

Very lovely and professional guesthouse/hotel. The owners are friendly and competent. They know how guests feel welcome and wanna stay. A wonderful guest house with cozy and comfortable rooms. A huge plus is the 5-minute walk to the excellent sandy beach. There's a summer kitchen where you can cook your own meals if you wish. There are rooms for larger families, which is also important if you're vacationing with children. The hotel also offers covered parking if you arrive by car. I highly recommend it!

The experience of a clean and clear hotel room is refreshing, peaceful, and relaxing, offering a sense of order and tranquility.

We have been here by the end of the season, I think this is a great place if you in general don’t have high expectations. Mind you that you are paying per bed in the room, so if you are staying alone in a two persons room, you will still pay the full price. The price is not high and it is fully understandable that you pay for the room. The rooms are not extremely clean, the beds are not super comfortable...

The lady who runs this place also runs the tourism office at Kochkor, so it is very convenient to organise stuff around at good prices. She speaks perfect English. The place is comfortable and well taken care of. The only minor downside is that there is only one shared bathroom and many rooms.

There were five of us here, a group of friends; there were no other guests. The hosts were very welcoming, always willing to accommodate your every request. It was clean, warm (we were there in winter), and spacious.

The place is super inviting, warm and really well kept. The rooms super nice for the value and great showers. They were super helpful too with making sure everything was good for me. I’d highly HIGHLY recommend Argo Guest House to anyone looking for a place to stay in Karakol. For 36 USD you get a spacious room, a balcony with chairs, a hearty breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables (porridge unpictured), and refillable water. The host speaks limited English but enough to get by. Laundry service is available at 400 som per load. We were able to wash 2 supermarket plastic bags...

For Karakol's circumstances the rooms and bathrooms are outstanding! I would always prefer guest houses compared to e.g. hostels because you get to know people from around (not from abroad). The big room is great. It has got a balcony facing north so this is great in summer for example, because you don't get the midday sun straight in your room.
