Where to stay in Kochkor

We arrived late in the evening, and Cholpon greeted us like family. She made us tea and surrounded us with care and attention. It was so warm and cozy. The house is beautiful, everything is brand new, with fresh linens and towels, and it's spotlessly clean. There's a beautiful view of the mountains from the window. Special thanks for the breakfast! The most delicious pancakes with jam I've ever had...

The place is amazing! Comfortable, super clean and nicely decorated. The shared bathroom has a bath tub! And the lady is super nice! Highly recommended

A very lovely hostess. She cooks excellently. Meals are served in a beautiful yurt, and you sleep in the newly built guesthouse. Excellent value for money.

An average budget friendly hotel for a day or 2 stay. If you arw going to visit Son kul lake then this hotel in kochkar is a good option

Nothing special Located in an ex-garage plot small of gazillion is all arround Breakfast is very welcoming. No Air-condition

This hotel is located just beside the main road. Although it is quite old, but it is comfortable. There is no elevator, so need to wait a bit for the big luggage bags to be brought up to the room. Room is well equipped with heater and hot shower. The mattress and duvet are not too fancy, but they are comfortable. Breakfast spread is okay. Good experience to be here.

This hotel is brand new, they just opened this new branch in Kochkor after having a succesful hotel in Bishkek. There were lots of works going on and moving furniture inside the rooms. But I was happy that I was being able to stay here out of season. The owner was incredibly friendly and so hospitable! I can highly recommend staying here when in Kochkor!

Would 100% recommend this place to any travellers passing through Kochkor. Friendly hosts who respond promptly to any wuestions. Clean, cosy and spacious rooms. Clean shared bathroom facilities. What more do you need?

There was no water during our stay and the internet and power were patchy. We left one day earlier as this was unacceptable but still had to pay essentially full price (-200soms, symbolic but insignificant) for our intended 2 night stay. I understand the water issue was out of the hosts control and is not the normal circumstance. I'm disappointed there was no leniency in cancellation/refunds over these...

The beds are comfortable, the pillows are comfortable, the location was a perfect place to stop before heading to Song-kul. What truly makes this guest house special though is Lilliya! Her hospitality was truly amazing. She exudes kindness. The food she prepared for us was so delicious. And her English is 100% better than our Kyrgyz. Very friendly and helpful — they assisted us in getting to the starting point of the Kol-Ukok hike for 600 soms. The home is welcoming and cozy, and you really feel like you’re experiencing true Kyrgyz hospitality. Breakfast included. Diner is possible (and very good) for 500 soms

The owner speck very good English, he picked us up at the bus station. The facilities in the house were very complete, and the breakfast was delicious. I was injured couldn’t walk well after falling off a horse at Songhu Lake, so the owner helped me to bring my luggage to bus station from guest house to the bus station. They are very kind family. I recommend everyone to stay here when coming to Kochkor...

Stayed here for a night before and after our Song-Kul Horse trek. Family was incredibly lovely and took great care of us! All the food was amazing, with them providing breakfast & dinner (at an extra cost), even having our best Manty of the trip. All the yurts were beautiful, clean and well kept. As other reviews have stated the toilets are shared, but we had no troubles with the cleanliness of both...

We stayed 2 nights here both before and after the 3 day horse trek to Song Kul. Lovely place. Our 2 bed yurt was really nice, nice bedding, well spaced. If there’s anything critical to say it’s that there’s no stove for heat like in other yurts but they give you extra big warm blankets. The woman managing the place is so nice and helpful. It’s a family run business so you may get to meet them all....

The host and the yurt were very nice, yet not to be concidered glamping. Toilet and shower are across the yard from the yurt, and are pretty cold during October. It was a bit difficult to find the road leading to the camp, and got directions from the locals. The food was simple and good, served in a separate yurt, the village small and interesting. We went stargazing in the night, woke up to roosters...

A really good guesthouse. Lovely hosts, easy communication, clean rooms, and a good breakfast. A bit outside of the city centre of Kochkor, but still in walkable distance. Clothes can be washed on demand.

Cute hostel. There's an 8 bed dorm and a 6 bed dorm and a private 2 bed twin room. Decent shower and proper toilet in the main building. Extra ones outside. Comfortable and friendly owner

The staff very useful and kind with the knowledge about local attractions. We could leave our rucksack for 2 days (3 days horse trip). I have forgotten my sandals - a young man was going to bus station and gave it to me. Thank you very much:)

Such a safe space 🫶 the hostel is run by a lovely family and they are super helpful! I booked spontaneously very late at night and they made sure I’d have a bed at 1am in the morning and even waited for me. ENDLESS GRATITUDE.❤️

very nice hostel with clean rooms and bathroom the owner Jiida mama was really accomadating and friendly we had a great experience staying here, we esecially like their breakfast with jam bread and puncake

This hostel is nothing special in terms of quality of rooms or bathroom. But there is the warmest and the loveliest housewife (babushka) we met in whole Kyrgyzstan. She prepered for us very good breakfast and tea/coffee. We were there in June and during the night it still can get little bit cold during the night. But duvet was very warm and we enjoyed the night in nice heat.

The lady who runs this place also runs the tourism office at Kochkor, so it is very convenient to organise stuff around at good prices. She speaks perfect English. The place is comfortable and well taken care of. The only minor downside is that there is only one shared bathroom and many rooms.

Amazing guesthouse. We stayed here twice and were satisfied both times. The owner speaks fluent English and was very quick to respond to our last-minute bookings both times. Very tasty (and varied) breakfast. Minor point of improvement: shower strength was not great. But this might be jn the whole village.

She speak super fluent English and she can help to organize trip to song kul 😀😘 and any other trip to the surrounding of Kochkor😻 This is a location once all the regional Matshuka arrived, just 100m to Globus. Super clean room, big breakfast…🥰 The best guesthouse I had so far!

The owner is very kind and welcoming. Tumar was a perfect location in easy walking distance from the slopes. The meal were great and the accomodation clean and comfortable. We would stay again for sure!

JAILOO organized a trek to Kol u kok for us, everything was perfect. She also helped us to find a shared taxi and negotiate price for it. I recommend her!!

They organized a horseback ride to Song Kul on a perfect horse and the cheapest ones that could be found.

Cheap, with hot shower, perfect place for backpackers. Good staff with good advices on what to do in the surroundings. Also their prices are not crazy. Way better than the CBT !
