The staff were very friendly and welcoming during both check-in and check-out, which made the stay pleasant.
The bathroom was generally clean, although the sliding door was not functioning properly. There were cups provided in the room, but they could have been cleaned more thoroughly. On the positive side, both the TV and air-conditioning were working well.
Please note that there is no lift in the hotel. I stayed in a queen bed room on the second floor, so this may be something to consider if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns. There is also no private parking, only public parking spaces available nearby.
The location is very convenient, situated in Kuching city centre along Padungan Road. The Kuching Waterfront is about a 20-minute walk, a 7-Eleven is just across the road, and there are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area.
Overall, the hotel is reasonable for the price it offers and suitable for travelers looking for a budget stay in a central location.

Very strategic location. Near the waterfront.
The problem is that the room is so dirty. There were small cockroaches when stayed there, we just worried that it may enter our ear when we sleep.
The bathroom was also smelly, we tried to close it but the door has some problem, it slides back.
The WiFi also has some problem, it could not reach our room, so I had to use mobile hotspot to connect to the Tv in order to watch YouTube.
When I open the pillow mattress, the pillow is yellow. I think they need to change the pillow.
Also, when we entered the room, there were no towels, only mineral water, water glasses. So, we had to request for towels at the counter, and they said that their towels were not dry. The staff is pretty friendly, always smiling at us.
We just hope that the Kapit can improve in the future. Wish this hotel a luck. Thanks for the stay, this is just a honest review from what we had experienced.

Kapit Hotel was a great choice for my stay in Kuching. The location is excellent—within walking distance to the old town, food spots, and shopping areas. The room was small but clean and comfortable, with good air-conditioning and strong water pressure. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient during check-in. Reasonable price with great value. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to budget travelers!

No toothbrush. Toilet a bit smelly n not so clean. Not soundproof. But the bed very nice n comfortable. No lift so plan ur stuff. Location wise nice.

The beds have holes in it, the floor wasn't clean has alot of hair and dusts ,the lights always flicker.. and thats not the worst part yet. The toilet even has a roach in it..the only thing i like about this hotel is the location of it.. you can visit all kinds of stores near the hotel but alverall i dont recommend to stay here.

I went there took a family room the place was very small to walk about in the room.1st day i went there open the door bedsheets were on the floor like after people used they direct gavs us.. we made a report at the reception.. just in few min they said the room is done my bedsheets was not clean got holes on it very bad service....

I experience the coffee house. It have a good coffee and nice environment at the centre of the city. Which give off the nice city experience.
