Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was quite disappointing.
The hotel kindly arranged a speedboat transfer to Malé and included sandwiches, which we appreciated. However, the speedboat departed very late, causing us to miss our connecting speedboat in Malé. While this may not be entirely their fault, we were told that pickup from the hotel would be at 6:30 a.m., whereas it actually happened at 6:47 a.m. — a significant inconvenience at such an early hour.
Additionally, we specifically requested one vegetarian sandwich and one tuna sandwich, but were given chicken sandwiches instead. As we do not eat chicken or beef, this left us without breakfast, adding further discomfort to the situation.
Missing the connecting speedboat resulted in an additional $70 expense, which was very frustrating.
We are travelling from 6000 miles from across the other side of the planet and trying to get some clarifications but it has fallen on deaf ears. We’ve reached out on the 17th Nov but we have been completely ignored.
We love to support new businesses but please sort your customer service out first.
