Hathaa Beach Maldives in Hulhumale

I recently stayed at Hathaa Beach Hotel in Hulhumale, Maldives, and overall it was a below-average experience with a few important things to note before booking. First, the hotel’s layout is something guests should seriously consider. The reception is located on the 3rd floor, and the guest rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The lower floors have been leased out to the adjacent hotel. There is no lift/elevator in the building, so guests must use the stairs every time they enter or leave the hotel. This can be quite challenging for elderly travelers, families with heavy luggage, or anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs. If you have mobility issues, this hotel may not be suitable for you. The breakfast is good, but with limited options. One of the highlights is the view from the sitting area in front of the reception. Since it is on the 3rd floor, the seating area offers a pleasant view, making it a nice place to relax. Another important point is regarding payment. Payment is always made at the hotel and must be in USD only. Local Maldivian currency is not accepted. Travelers should make sure to carry US dollars or pay by card.

Very Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended Our stay at Hathaa Veach Hotels in Hulhumalé was quite disappointing, and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone based on our experience. No Welcome or Hospitality: There was no welcome on arrival. The reception is located on the 3rd floor, with no guidance or assistance provided. We had to find everything ourselves. Unfriendly and Unhelpful Staff: The staff were not friendly and seemed annoyed when we asked for anything. There was no hospitality shown at any point. Poor Check-In and Check-Out Experience: During check-out, there was no one at the reception. We had to call to ask for help with our luggage, and still, no one came. No one informed us what the process was or helped us in any way. Misleading Booking Information: The details provided during the reservation were incorrect, which caused a lot of inconvenience. Room Quality is Inconsistent: The balcony rooms are okay, but the other rooms have poor ventilation and feel cramped. Broken and Missing Facilities: The minibar wasn’t cooling, the cable TV didn’t work, and there was no smart TV as expected. Not Suitable for Families: No extra bed was provided for our child, and my wife had to sleep on the floor. It’s definitely not family-friendly. anyone.
