Beach Palace Hotel in Hulhumale

THIS HOTEL STOLE $1,000 FROM ME! I accidentally made a reservation through Booking with the wrong dates — for an entire month. I called Booking right away to cancel, and they said they sent the cancellation request to the hotel, but it was up to the hotel to approve it. The hotel never did.

I even went there in person to explain that it was literally all the money I had for my vacation, and begged them to please accept the cancellation — but they completely refused. They claimed it was Booking’s responsibility, which is not true.

It’s really heartbreaking, because now I’ve lost all my vacation money and I’ve been left out on the street.

It's just a scary place where I would never want to book again.due to flight delay I couldn't travel to Male city from another island and I informed them that I would not be able to travel and to cancel the booking...I understand hotel policy that we have to cancel on our own maybe however still I told them clearly and even they can cancel from their channel portal but they just sent me many threatening emails which is really not okay and not acceptable from a service industry..Scary place and not safe at all

Terrible Experience - Beach Palace Not a Government-Registered Hotel

I had the worst experience with Beach Palace Hotel during my recent trip to the Maldives. I booked a 3-night stay from October 15-18, 2024, and paid $225 in advance. However, when I arrived in the Maldives, the immigration authorities refused to allow me to enter the country because Beach Palace Hotel is NOT a government-registered hotel. They also mentioned that this hotel has a poor reputation.

I tried explaining my situation, but they kept giving me the same answer—this hotel is not recognized by the Maldives government and is not up to their standards. After spending the entire night stuck at the airport, I was forced to return to Sri Lanka the next morning.

I lost time, money, and peace of mind because of this hotel’s dishonesty and lack of transparency. They are not registered with the government, which caused me to be denied entry into the country. I would strongly advise anyone against booking this hotel. It’s not worth the risk, and you could end up with a ruined vacation just like I did.

Avoid this place at all costs!

One of the worst places I have been to. I got bitten by bed bugs, and my arm still has a red spot. I am not sure, but the linen and everything seem unclean. You can feel that the fabric is not soft and has dust. The bathroom stinks and smells bad. There is no coffee heater or hair dryer. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay for a night, then this is for you. But if you have money, don't book this hotel, as it feels unsanitized.
