Amazing! We spent 8 nights at Royal Island earlier this month. It was fabulous from start to finish. We could not fault anything. The resort was nearly at full capacity but we were able to walk around the island without seeing anyone. The food, service, rooms were all wonderful. We snorkelled most days at various points around the island and managed to see a turtle and sharks. Staff are all very polite and attentive with lots of smiles. Would love to go back!

The service is excellent, I have no complaints about the staff, everyone is very polite, caring, and responsive! The food is delicious and varied! The island is beautiful, there are lots of different activities, the grounds are well-kept and picturesque! The only downside that was disappointing was the condition of the rooms: everything is very tired, shabby, in need of a complete overhaul, everything is old and hardly up to par for a 5-star hotel, everything is covered in film, it looks like an old, unkempt, neglected house, the bathroom was dirty when we checked in... Perhaps we didn't get the best room... We were offered an upgrade, but it was no longer necessary since we only had one day left to live. I don't know about the other villas, but ours was very tired.

We had a fantastic holiday at Royal Island resort. This is our second time. Noble our island host was as fantastic as last year. He is a wonderful host. Helpful, patient, and always available. Our house keeper, Rajib, was also very good. The staff in the restaurant are brilliant, especially Aswin and Pandi. We had a fantastic time and we hope to come back next year.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Royal Island Resort & Spa, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the very first moment, we were surrounded by breathtaking nature, beautiful beaches and a warm atmosphere.
We especially enjoyed the excellent food – the culinary variety and the consistently high quality of the cuisine were outstanding. Every meal was a pleasure, and it was clear how much care and passion goes into the dining experience.

A very special thank you goes to Ali, the Restaurant Manager. With his friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming manner, he made us feel at home from day one. His hospitality added something special – he even gave us a recipe of a wonderful dessert after request. Thank you so much for that!

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our host Noble, who was always there for us every day as a reliable and kind point of contact. His support, attentiveness, and warm personality made our stay even more relaxing and carefree.

Overall, Royal Island Resort combines outstanding hospitality, fantastic cuisine, and stunning natural beauty. We truly enjoyed every moment and would love to return. A big thank you to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience!

It was a unique experience. Everyone is super helpful and very friendly. We would particularly like to mention all staff of the Maakana Restaurant, Boli Bar and Raabondhi Beach, as well as Noble, who really fulfilled all our wishes, he kept us daily informed about all the activities on the island. He gave us very good advice when we were undecided about what we should do. We can only recommend a stay in Royal island, it is a paradise thanks to the atmosphere and services provided here. We will definitely come back.

We had an amazing experience. We spent 18 days in the Maldives, 7 of them in Maafushi and 11 in this incredible resort! If we had known beforehand, we would have come straight to the resort. It’s absolutely SPECTACULAR.

The island is surrounded by an amazing coral reef; we saw reef sharks, three different types of rays, turtles, moray eels… an endless variety of fish. It feels like a natural aquarium.

The hotel is great, the food is good, and the staff is lovely. We stayed in a Beach Villa, and the moment you step outside, you have the beach right at your feet—just amazing!

A special mention goes to Aswin, our waiter throughout these 11 days. He is the best waiter in the entire restaurant, very attentive and quick with the service. Out of the whole experience, we believe he was truly the best, and we always tried to get a table in his section because we knew we would be extremely well taken care of. Thank you so much, Aswin!!

Another very pleasant and satisfying vacation! The hotel's natural environment is fantastic; the island's lush greenery is meticulously maintained, creating a delightful atmosphere. The beaches are clean, free of unsightly seaweed, and the snorkeling is superb—the pier and the beach near the Sunset Beach Villas are the best snorkeling spots! The service was excellent; even though our flight was in the evening, they allowed us a late check-out until 4 PM! The room facilities are a bit dated; those seeking luxury can overlook this. An island definitely worth visiting again!

This is our third time in the Maldives; our first time at the Royal Island Resort was a great experience! Transfer to the island was by seaplane and speedboat (thanks to the hotel for not having to wait until lunch for a domestic flight). Return was by speedboat and domestic flight. The return transfer was complimentary, so we're especially grateful for that. We arrived at the hotel at 8 a.m. and were checked in immediately. We booked the Sunset Villa, and our villa was perfectly located – away from the pier (the ones closer to the pier aren't ideal for swimming and there's no reef) and close to a beautiful reef. We loved everything:
- The food was delicious and varied. Every day for lunch and dinner there was seafood, fruit, incredibly delicious desserts, ice cream – everything was plentiful. The staff was friendly. Our waiter at the restaurant brought drinks by the time we'd finished our meals – we'd arrive at our table to find water already poured into glasses and a teapot with tea on the table. We also really enjoyed our host, Mark, who explained everything and showed us around. The restaurant's head manager, Ali, was constantly checking in to see how we were enjoying the food and whether everything was to our liking.
- Daily cleaning, daily towel changes, including the beach towels.
We've been to many places and seen many things, and in our opinion, this is a very decent resort with excellent value for money – we highly recommend it!

It was a wonderful vacation! A paradise island with a relaxed pace. We stayed on the sunset side of the villas in room 208. The entrances are wonderful for swimming. You can snorkel both near the villas and from the pier. The staff is very friendly. The food is simply excellent. We took full board, which was more than enough! I definitely recommend it!
