We’ve travelled to many places around the world and stayed in countless hotels and resorts — some even more expensive than this — but Vakkaru is truly the BEST experience we’ve ever had.
Baa Atoll is already one of the world’s most pristine ecological reserves, and the resort’s blue holes and sandbanks are simply addictive. We could visit them several times a day and still never get enough. At any moment, you’ll find different kinds of fish swimming freely around you.

Beyond the beauty and the facilities, what truly makes Vakkaru unforgettable is the people.
Our butler Myat, the sommelier, and our roomboy Mohamond all went above and beyond, offering the warmest, most thoughtful care throughout our stay. Their kindness made all the difference.

It’s really hard for us to leave.

The island is covered in vegetation. I stayed in a water villa with a very pleasant room type and the restaurant was delicious. The room was cleaned twice a day, which was very thorough. The housekeeper Tina was very caring and well-organized. She was great! Ctrip's customer service was very helpful in communicating with us about the water flight and was very efficient!

Provide the hotel with flight information in advance. Everything was arranged well from the airport pick-up. The hotel has a special waiting lounge at the seaplane airport, with biscuits and soft drinks. If the return flight is very late, you need to wait for a long time, so it is necessary to rest in the lounge. The room is similar to the introduction. The pad that controls the various facilities in the room is a bit old and feels a bit dirty in the hand. There is also a towel with a torn edge... I ordered a half-pack meal. Among the five restaurants, only the teppanyaki Japanese restaurant requires an additional fee. The other four restaurants taste good and the portions are very large. Our family of three will always have some leftovers. For Chinese people, it may be that there are fewer vegetables on the island. Fortunately, we can always find meals that suit our taste. Half-pack does not include alcohol. The "alcohol" here also includes ordinary water. Bottled water is free in the room and various places in the hotel. It is paid when dining in the restaurant. It costs $6 per bottle, excluding tax and service fee. Each activity costs about $200 per person, and at least four people are required. On the last day, the children wanted to snorkel, but there were not enough people, so we arranged a private snorkeling at the hotel dock without taking a boat. The one-hour fee was $320 including tax. We were on the island for 6 days because of strong winds and red flags, and we couldn't go out to sea. Three of them were cloudy and rainy. We spent most of the time in the hotel club, with billiards, table tennis, tennis, and football tables. Children can also arrange one-on-one painting, and they need to pay cash for $50 each time. Both snorkelings were in the water near the hotel. Some people snorkeled by themselves without the guidance of the hotel's safety officer. My family had never snorkeled before, and we were worried about the strong wind and the big waves in the sea, so we asked the safety officer to lead us. I will go to Maldives again in its peak season. I still feel very sorry that I can't go out to sea, although there are often fish swimming under the water house. The hotel waiters were very enthusiastic. Maybe they were expecting some tips. It's understandable that they have different habits. We gave out more than 50 US dollars in tips in 6 days and 5 nights. You still have to bring some extra 1 dollar in change when you go out.

We stayed in a water villa with a view of the Five-Colored Sea. The room was clean and well-equipped. The butler service was considerate. We had a great time and had a great meal on the island. It is highly recommended for families and couples to go on an island vacation.
