Grotto's Paradise B&B in Gharb

Lovely guest house with super friendly owners. The house is located in a quiet town, close to the cliffs where we enjoyed beautiful views. The room was nice and specious, with an internal yard, which was perfect for our dog. The breakfast was as good as described by many other reviewers (Corinne's apple pie is indeed amazing!). Corinne and Marco are warm and friendly couple. We will be back in summer 🙂!

We stayed for the second time with Corinne and Marco and had a great time. The breakfast is delicious and the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. We came with our dog and baby and Corinne and Marco provided everything we needed for a relaxing break. Thanks again, we'll be back :)

Lovely place to stay with super friendly hosts Corrine and Marco who serve the best breakfast and coffee, delicious homemade cakes and amazing spicy marmalade, we stayed in a nice cosy room with a yard and had access to a warm swimming pool, we enjoyed staying here very much and hope we'll be back soon.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere. Corrine and Marco are great hosts. They do the different. Rooms are very nice breakfasts delicious. We like this location, very pieceful, friendly neighbourhood. We highly recommend Grotto's Paradse.

This is a wonderful, peaceful stone house with two swimming pools close to lovely coastal attractions (nowhere is far on Gozo!). The hosts bend over backwards to help and are very sociable and pleasant. Marco will send you links to the attractions with Google maps link which is very useful. They know everything about the island to help you enjoy your holiday to the most. The breakfast is incredible with local produce including cheeses and the most delicious strawberries I have tasted from the next door farm. The delicious cakes and jams are made on the premises. I have enjoyed this stay so much more than any stay I have stayed in the last few years. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Grotto's Paradise. It was the perfect start to the year. It's a great location to go walking in the countryside. Corrinne and Marco were great hosts, they made an amazing spread for breakfast and amazing to talk to. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely and clean, very well equipped and with modern, quiet and well functioning air-conditioning, a must in 32 degrees heat. We had a twin room on the 2nd floor with a big terrace with a table and chairs and a spectacular view. A delicious breakfast with cooked options, cheese and meats on the buffet and Corinne's homemade cakes, that could win the great British Bake Off were a great start to the day. The best thing though were Corinne and Marco, the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. From tips, what to see to the barista worthy Cappuccino for breakfast. I mentioned as a throw away remark that my friend wasn't feeling well and we were going to spend the afternoon by the pool. When we came down a huge sun umbrella had appeared, so we could sit in the shade. All round superb.

I feel like I could write a book full of positive expletives about this hotel. The hosts Marco and Corrine make you feel like a friend and are extremely helpful, always with a smile. Comfortable accommodations and amazing breakfast. I will tell more Canadians about this place.

If ever a property is well named, it is Grotto’s Paradise. Brought here by family living in Malta, who were also visiting for the first time, we were blown away by the accommodation from the moment we walked in. From the two small but, crucially, cool swimming pools either side of a wall, to the spacious rooms with balconies, it could not have felt more welcoming. That said, what makes it such a magical place is the lovely Italian couple who own and run this exceptional establishment. From the coffees on arrival to the magnificent breakfast they could not have been friendlier, and that takes judgement on any hosts part. Never over fussy but always willing to chat and pass on help and offer advice. Happy to share their story but also interested in us. We are halfway through a two night stop and all wish it was longer. Back to that breakfast. A tasty and manageable portion of sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs and beans allowed plenty of space to enjoy local cheese, local strawberries, homemade jams and fabulous home baked cakes. We ate after other guests at 10 as we had walked the 5kms to the coast and back before cooling off in the pool. If you have been to Bali there is a real Ubud vibe here - the sound of gentle swimming mixing with the sounds of nature. The town itself is peaceful but with enough dining options to mean you can walk there and back so no one need drive. It is also a fantastic destination to explore Victoria and visit the charming bay at Xlendi. If ever a couple deserves success it is the lovely hosts here and judging by bookings,good things are happening to good people. If you love peaceful relaxation, great views and feeling welcomed this Grotto truly is Paradise.
