The place itself is a beautifully restored old stone Maltese house—full of character, cozy, and peaceful. I slept like a baby, and the room had a modern shower (with good water pressure!), the air conditioning works perfectly for both summer and winter.
Breakfast was an absolute highlight every morning. Fresh Maltese bread is delivered daily—different kinds of bread, local cheeses, some cured meats, baked eggs, tomatoes with ricotta, and even a fresh juice corner with orange squeezers (using delicious local oranges in winter) and a centrifuge for juices. It felt so genuine and generous.
The staff at reception are warm, helpful, and always ready to sort out anything you need, like an iron or extra towels. And if you’re heading to Valletta, it’s easy with two bus options right nearby.
If you’re looking for a place that combines real Maltese tradition with modern comfort, this is it. I already miss it!
But The electric kettle had a strange odor and could not be used, which was inconvenient. Also, the door didn’t close properly, allowing insects to enter, and unfortunately, I encountered cockroaches during my stay. There was no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage up the stairs required some physical effort.
While the close airport location and friendly staff were positive points, the presence of cockroaches in the room was very disappointing and affected my comfort.
If you dislike bugs, you should be somewhat prepared.
