Soyol Hotel in Ulan Bator

The massage centre is so unorganized when it comes to reservations, they will waste your time and not take any responsibility. They don’t take reservations ahead of time so you have to pay to enter first. And then they took our reservation and when we arrived after hanging around the place for hours, they claimed we did not place one and that we chose to wait on call if a spot opened up which is such a strange assumption. They don’t have a receptionist, so there’s several different people taking reservations and different understandings of the schedule and how to take reservations. The person who took our reservation refused to take any responsibility or offer any apology, same with everyone else we spoke to, which was the most disappointing. The rest of the place is okay, the salt room is nice but the other stone rooms hardly have enough room and are not at the temperature they’re meant to be. In general, whole flow of the place doesn’t make much sense and they don’t bother explaining anything.

Unfortunately, the quality of service at Soyol Wellness Center has noticeably declined. I expected a relaxing and well-managed environment, but the experience was far from that.
• The food was bland and low quality, served in an uncomfortable and noisy dining area. The cleanliness was questionable, and the loud presence of children made it difficult to enjoy the space.
• The slippers provided were dirty, and what’s worse — the insoles had sharp pressure points that were very uncomfortable.
• The overall organization was poor. Guests were confused about the queue, and staff loudly called for the next person in a way that felt more like a marketplace than a wellness center.
• The prices are quite high, but the service and environment don’t reflect that value at all.

As a public wellness facility, more attention should be given to hygiene, customer comfort, proper organization, and respectful communication. The place has potential, but it really needs improvement in these key areas.
