The accommodation was great, but I felt the breakfast wasn't very tasty.
I stayed there with my toddler. This was our second visit, as we chose it for a staycation escape from the long winter. The rooms did not have air purifiers or humidifiers, which made the air extremely dry. Both my child and I experienced constant static in our hair throughout our stay. We also suffered from dry nasal congestion, including blood streaks in the mucus. Another factor that may have contributed...
I always stay here. The location is convenient and the environment is superb.
Good convinient location. Connected to a mall. Nice rooms
The only luxury hotel in the city.
Good location, connected to mall. But poor service.

Very good location. Nice big comfortable room and bathroom. All very clean. Friendly staff. It’s my third time there.
Desk staff extremely helpful and honest. Thank you.
central location, walking distend to chinggis khan square.
Good and clean hotel. While it's rated as 5-star, I would give it a high international 4-star rating. Staff are helpful and their English is very good. Location overlooks the main square of UB - this is a plus and minus. If there are a lot of activities/celebrations going on while you're in UB and you're facing the square, you'll hear ALL OF IT. If you're looking to go the main business area just north...
Perfect location with two minute walking distance of the main square. Close to other interesting places also. Clean and well maintained hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Nice view from the room. I think this is the best place to stay in Ulaan Bataar
Good place to stay. Service is good though people at the restaurant could be more proactive. We wait for 1 hour before realizing the kitchen forgot our order.
Front desk guy was really nice and helpful.

An older hotel, but it feels secure and reliable.
It was okay, but the breakfast was a bit simple.
My stay at the Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace Ulaanbaatar was fantastic! I stayed in a Deluxe King Room from November 11th to 18th, and it exceeded my expectations. Regarding hygiene and environment, the room was clean and tidy, the facilities were brand new, and the window offered an expansive view. The overall environment was quiet and comfortable. The staff were warm and attentive; check-in was efficient...
Thank you for having us here. We had a great time at your hotel and definetely we will be back soon.
Very comfortable hotel. Good service. Everything you need was there in the hotel. Breakfast was varied.
Stayed for five nights. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast selection excellent evening meals were also good. Food service during evening very slow. Staff were polite with excellent English speaking skills. 30 min walk to centre of city. Good value for money whether for business or pleasure.

Decent for price. Seems pretty old diplomatic style.
Nice place to stay. Walking distance to Emart supermarket and restaurant.
It was unclean. 2 adults 1 towel 1 toothbrush 😝.
The hotel is very unique and in a good location. The front desk guy is very friendly and can speak some simple Chinese. The room is clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable. Overall it's OK.
It was nice but different from what I expected.

Like i've tried to go there 3times before and its just always busy always fully booked and when i finally got in it was big fancy quite good but not perfect the food is just regular restaurant's food nothing special
Free parking for customers, service can vary day to day or time of the day but masseuses are great.
Pretty annoying when kids are around, super loud/screaming/running around and very rarely staff notices/warns/asks to stop even in massage areas kids even adults sometimes talk loudly on the phone.
THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS.
I am doing this review for one main reason which is to let people who want to may want to go there like I did know that they are open for 24 hours. For some reason these hours are not listed on the listing which means you’re not sure if it will be open but they are open 24 hours and never close.
The place is good. Don’t listen to some of the whiny reviews that are nitpicking...
In principle everything is fine, but there is nothing around the hotel...
Great place for a massage or relaxation. Well priced and great service.
1. Though, the price is not cheap compared to other local saunas, there is not any drinking water and body scrubber. At least, should provide 800ml bonaqua water, and body scrubber which was selling as 5000 tugrik.
2. There isn't any clock in main sauna hall, which make is difficult to measure my time in spa rooms.

A really excellent hotel! The reception staff are so friendly and professional, and they speak very good English. They have a laundry service that is quite cheap, and it was very convenient - you just have to put your dirty...
Great place, would stay again.
The second stay here wasn't as smooth as the first time. When i arrived, there was no electricity, which meant i had to go up and down to ask someone to help me open the door every time i left the room. Also, even though i booked a massage session at 8:30 pm to spend some time in the sauna beforehand, i was reminded about the massage and pushed to have it starting from 8 pm. Couldn't really relax....
The public bath would be a high end one even in Japan with its wood finish (although the rocks for the bath itself would not be so obviously fake).
The breakfast is also impressive as is the service level. This is a bit on the pricy side for an older building, however, at least in summer.

The Hotel has seen quite a few years. However, it did age very well and is very good maintained. I enjoyed it more than the Hotel I stayed at before, which was 3 times more expensive.

Breakfast was just okay, nothing special, very ordinary.
I stayed at Grand Hill Hotel Ulaanbaatar for five nights in November 2025. During my stay, I experienced a serious issue that was handled in a highly unprofessional manner, which significantly affected my trust in the hotel.
I had placed a sentimental hoodie in the wardrobe of my room. On the third day, due to very cold weather, I wore other coats when going out. I can confirm, based on all photos...
The room was clean, and the service was excellent. The front desk staff could communicate in English and were very patient and helpful with any questions or issues I had.
The room isn't very big and the decor is a bit old-fashioned. My biggest complaint is the hairdryer; it's an old model with very weak airflow, making it quite difficult to use. On the positive side, the hotel service is excellent, and communication in English is seamless. They can assist with calling taxis and other requests. Many tourists stay here, and the breakfast selection is quite good.
The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated, and its location is great. Many city attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast was decent, and the views were excellent. However, I was a bit disappointed that the hotel had a separate breakfast area exclusively for Korean guests, and others weren't allowed in. I would have really liked to try it.

There was no switch for lights, also room was very cold, can't sleep without AC on, but AC has loud noise.
This hotel was recommended by my Mongolian colleagues, and it's excellent value for money. It's cheaper than the hotel next door, but the quality is much better! Mongolia in December is absolutely freezing, I was shivering the whole time!!
Great location. Very convenient surroundings.
No it needs to be better in terms of cleanliness and speed of assist see
Good location. Room was ok but kind of old. The breakfast is really poor, they even charge you for the quality coffee.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and a credit to the hotel. Every single member of staff I came across was fantastic and couldn’t do enough to make sure you had a great stay.
The hotel itself is dated and in need of renovation . The public areas, corridors and rooms are quite tired and dingy. I had to move rooms three times (due to noise) so request a quiet room if road noise bothers you.

I had a great stay at Ramada Ulaanbaatar! The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay. Very nice hotel. Very clean and good service. The rooms are fine. Not over the top but clean with lots of amenities. The AC didn’t work super well in our room but we survived. The restaurant food is quite good and the rooftop level bar was a lot of fun. Overall a great experience.
The hotel is quite comfortable, harmoniously decorated. The food at the restaurant on the 5th floor is quite suitable for me, and has a reasonable price. This hotel is located at a rather busy intersection, convenient for walking to many interesting places nearby.

Absolutely loved it! On the first day, they even upgraded our room to one with a living room. The furniture style was exactly to my taste. Highly recommend! The environment and hygiene were also excellent, and there's a bus stop right outside, making transportation super convenient. Plus, there's a supermarket next door!
Nice hotel in the heat of Ulaanbaatar. They are one of the very old well maintained hotel. Everything was nice during my stay except they missed to do room service and it seems like a oversight by the service incharge. After complaining with reception they immediately arranged for it. So kudos to their revellers service.
Spent a night with my wife in the hotel. Was expecting much better conditions, but generally OK.
Staff's on duty at the front desk counter are very kind and helpful. The hotel location is very good and next building is e-mall very convenience.

A pretty decent hotel. Great location and it was very easy communicating with the staff. They were quite helpful. The service was super, Ms Nara was extremely helpful, when my husband noticed only 2 bottles of water, Ms Nara immediately came back with 4 bottles plus a welcoming drink coupon. She also provided us info about the festival. When we left, she helped us to get taxi and told driver the destination in local language. Food in 2nd floor restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced.
Good location, breakfast and dinner by Floor 2 restaurant are yummy. One dinner I was charged to room, when checking out, the hotel almost forgot to charge me. The location is excellent, but the cleanliness of the hotel room is about 80%.”
Overall a pleasant experience. Check in and check out was made easy with a couple of ladies who understand English.

*Wi-fi was not good

Overall decent value if you mainly need a place to sleep. Our room was small and faced the street – traffic in Ulaanbaatar is extremely noisy (constant honking), so earplugs were a must. The AC worked but blew directly onto the bed, and one mattress had a dip, which might be uncomfortable for some.
