I had an absolutely amazing time at Ulanbataar Hotel. Location is center you can go anywhere by foot. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast buffet offered a huge variety and was delicious Mongolian cuisine. The staff ,especially reception ,were incredibly attentive, going out of their way to make you comfortable. Thanks for great Mongolian hospitality, i will definitely stay again when i visit Mongolia.

The hotel is quite nice. Location is superb and you are within walking distance from most sites to visit. My main complaint is about the restaurant staff. The food is good and their traditional Mongolian dishes quite delicious but the service is extremely very slow and unmotivated. There might be 4-5 people standing around but you will still need to wait 20 mins before someone even brings you the menu. Some tables were wobbly last year and still were yesterday when I had lunch. When you arrive, there might be uncleared tables that are left there for an hour or so despite enough staff walking around looking busy but not doing much.

Stayed here for three nights during the winter, while it was -40°C outside the hotel was warm and cosy. I was well looked after by the exceptionally kind and observant staff. Any issues which did arise were quickly and professionally dealt with.

I had a wonderful stay at Ulaanbaatar Hotel on 3 and 5 December 2025. The staff were warm, attentive and made the stay smooth from check-in to check-out. The room was clean, comfortable and a great space to rest after long days exploring in the cold Mongolian winter.

One highlight was the breakfast served at the hotel, hearty, flavourful and a great introduction to local cuisine. It gave me a real taste of Mongolian hospitality and culture.

Location-wise, the hotel is convenient and accessible, which made moving around Ulaanbaatar easy.

Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would gladly return and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mongolia.

So often stayed in this hotel on 2010 until 2011... Very good hotel...good service And good restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is also located in the Central of the capital City Ulaan Baatar... So its really good And easy tp go around for any restaurant And bar also to the any shopping center or mall.

Good location, slightly faded decor and friendly staff. Easy to change money. Food decent. Shower didn't work particularly well, but enjoyed all the Mongolian sports channels.

Nice location and friendly employees. The building however it's dated and the rooms are mediocre. No where close to a 5 star hotel. Look at the Shangri La if you're looking for that level.
