I loved this place and the people there. A real backpacker's backpacker. Difficult to get to and somewhat chaotic but the friendly staff and fellow travelers made it all worthwhile. Mosquitoes were a problem and it would be nice if the owners did some more maintenance. I suspect the owners are coasting along on the fame of the place. Ask for directions to the tunnel to the 'hidden' Beach. A gem. Confident swimmers only should go.

A bit far from the centre and not the most comfortable beds, chill vibe though and super friendly staff, I arrived late and got picked up by the hostel owner

Well... first of all, the VIBE was amazing. Open minded world travelers and interesting conversations in the kitchen and the great outdoor area. (A paradise garden with fruit trees)
But the whole building itself needs renovation so badly. Broken stairs, incredible dirty old bathroom (I was too disgusted to shower there) and no door could be locked or closed properly- even not the mainentrance, what made me feel unsafe. I am used to stay in backpacker hostels but those beds were the least compfortable ones I ever slept in. Overused thin mattrasses on sharp wooden planks - disapointing. The location was fine, 20 minutes walk to the bus- and trainstation. The wild beach on the pictures is pretty far and very hard to reach.

Namaste disappointed me. The beds made a lot of noise, and the bathroom was old and dirty. The artsy outside area looked pretty cool, and the volunteers were kind. Worst thing was the location. Far from the city centre(but close to the train station), a lot of noise from the harbor/trains going towards the harbor. And right next to a gypsycamp!

Namaste is like a big family. Aldo the manager and Andy are so nice people. Cheap beer, welcoming and chilling/partying every day. It was the best choice for us, it made our permanence in Bar unforgettable. The place has got everything you need, the bathroom is not so clean but you know... sometime for a good hostel this is just what you need to look for. It is next to a wild beach I recommend to everyone but it requires a pretty hard hiking.
