Hostel Izvor in Podgorica

During my stay at Hostel Izvor in Podgorica, I found it to be a wonderful blend of tranquility and hospitality. The hostel is located about 6 kilometers from the city center, nestled near the Moraca river canyon, which offers stunning natural surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere far from city noise. The rooms were clean, spacious, and air-conditioned, with comfortable beds that made for a restful night. There are several tables set up where guests can relax, enjoy their meals, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings. The setting is quiet and scenic, with views of the nearby Moraca river canyon and lush greenery, making it a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening conversations. Nikola is a fantastic host; I reached out to him multiple times via text and phone with various questions, and he consistently responded almost instantly with great advises and suggestions and help. He also helped me assisting with taxi bookings and making sure my stay was comfortable. Their hospitality truly made the difference and created a welcoming environment. Nikola generously gave me access to the kitchen as well to do a quick snack. The river is just a short walk of under 10 minutes away. I really loved visiting the blue crystal-clear river nearly every day during my stay. In summary, my stay at Hostel Izvor was very enjoyable comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a beautiful setting made it a memorable part of my Montenegro trip

It is a very nice quiet relaxing place. The owner is very welcoming and kind. I arrived late and he kindly offered me some fruit! The restaurant is very cute, old cabin style with character. The rooms are spacious, clean and very much affordable.
The hotel/hostel is a little outside of the centre of Podgorica in Smokovacs, but taxis are easy to order 3-5€ and I prefer to stay outside, instead of in the centre.

Decent hostel, pretty clean, for cheap price. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They also have a restaurant and offer breakfast and lunch (if I remember correctly). Disadvantage is that it is out of Podgorica and you can only get there if you have a car or by taxi.

Great place. I recommend i hope one day to return. Its clean and quiet. The staff is very helpful and hospital. We had problems with the navigation and arrived at 2 o'clock in morning - still they welcomed us. Also we are with motorcycles its safe and good to rest there. Greetings!

Spacious rooms, nice view and most importantly the nicest staff! They care a lot you feel welcomed and have a nice stay. It’s not a fancy, luxurious place but it’s very nice and also the outside area is great.

I’m happy to have seen this place and meet these people. Would definitely book again.

It’s clean, the price is amazing and the man who is running it is really really nice and friendly. We all felt very welcome.
