It is a very nice quiet relaxing place. The owner is very welcoming and kind. I arrived late and he kindly offered me some fruit! The restaurant is very cute, old cabin style with character. Decent hostel, pretty clean, for cheap price. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They also have a restaurant and offer breakfast and lunch (if I remember correctly). Disadvantage is that it is out of Podgorica and you can only get there if you have a car or by taxi.

Great place. I recommend i hope one day to return. Its clean and quiet. The staff is very helpful and hospital. We had problems with the navigation and arrived at 2 o'clock in morning - still they welcomed us. Also we are with motorcycles its safe and good to rest there. Greetings!

Spacious rooms, nice view and most importantly the nicest staff! They care a lot you feel welcomed and have a nice stay. It’s not a fancy, luxurious place but it’s very nice and also the outside area is great. I’m happy to have seen this place and meet these people. Would definitely book again.

It’s clean, the price is amazing and the man who is running it is really really nice and friendly. We all felt very welcome.

The gate opens to an oasis if friendly calm just like the very best hostels around the world. Definitely a place to stay at in Montenegro. And when you do head to the river by Niagara restaurant, an amazing place to swim.

Fantastic service, lovely home/hostel, easy to meet fellow travellers. High quality and filling breakfast. I highly recommend their half day tour of Podgorica sites. Location isn't central but taxis are convenient and inexpensive.

Lovely hostel with a really warm feeling! The host was amazing and so helpful with tips and places to go and things to do. The common space felt like a cool café! The rooms where clean and the feeling and vibe of the hostel over all was super!!

Very clean and comfortable rooms and helpful, friendly service. A nice common room that seems like a cafe or bar where you can also cook, read and watch TV. The hostel is a bit away from the centre and a walk from the bus station but a taxi from the bus station is 5 euros or from the airport 12 euros. Backa, the hostel owner who also runs the place is such a great guy! I've never had such great service at a hostel before! I came to Podgorica without knowing anything and any question we had he answer in full and then some! Great location, right next to the city center where there are tons of restaurants, bars, and night life. At the end of stay he even drove us in his personal car to the bus station...

Very close to the airport. Helped out with an urgent overnight stay when the flight was canceled. Next to the hostel (7 minutes on foot) is a supermarket that is open until 10 p.m. Clean, tidy, rooms for 2-3 people with separate beds, shower, refrigerator, water, kettle, necessary dishes.

Good location if you have an early flight, they have free rides to airport, 5 minutes away. No A/C in rooms.

Honestly one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at, incredibly spacious and private, far cheaper then any other options of that quality and the best part is the staff. They battled with English yet still a conscious effort was made to include me in conversation and to help me feel settled, I even got free transport to the airport. I will be staying here again.

Sweet little cat, and very nice owners. Only down side is they didn't speak much English and it was very small, so not good for socializing but totally fine if you just need a place close to the airport.

Pleased with the cost! The room is clean, has hot water, air conditioning with heating (great for winter), wifi is sometimes good catches and in the room. Near cafes and shops, convenient Parking.

Stayed in June 2015 in a mixed room for 4 persons. Thanks to the owner Oksana! For your price tag this is the best hostel Budva, and maybe all of Montenegro. Comfortable, neat, modern room with a mini fridge, air conditioning, TV; balcony with views of the mountains; and separate WC. After leaving one of the guests is General cleaning. Cons – linen in 10 days never changed, though, and talked about...

The hostel is located 7-10 walking minutes to the old town. There are grocery shops nearby. The staff is friendly and welcoming. There is a spacious outdoor area with tables and outdoor kitchen. What I really disliked were the cats. They were constantly staying around the kitchen and waiting for food, getting on the tables, etc. The bathroom was ok, the beds are comfortable. Cheap hostel with a lot of potential. Bathrooms are disgusting tho. No cosy atmosphere, but it could easily turn into such a cosy one. Overal, I can't complain after.paying only 15€ night during high season

It was very simple and not väl organized. The kitchen was outside. I had to carry all my panniers and bags to the second floor. The lower bunkbed didn't have space for me to really sit upright, even I am short. In addition to that, there were some bars under the upper bed, where I easily (😉) banged my head. The toilet with shower was also simple and only one for around 10 beds.

The owner Nikolas is a great guy!!! I asked about the best way to go to the beach and he came with me so that I don't get lost in the confusing streets of the old city, he even left a call that he was making at the time, 5 stars!!!!

Great, Small hostel with a nice View for a reasonable price. Very friendly and helpful Host. He even explained a Map from Budva for us. This Hostel has everything you need.

Friendly staff, clean hostel, in heart of old town, comfortable, toilets and bathroom not separate, long winding steps to get upto rooms from tiny lobby, old town Budva did not have any water for almost 2 days, for toilet, drinking, or anything, quite frustrating for all travellers, and staff didn’t like us asking about it.town undergoing construction works so roads off limits sometimes.

Fantastic hostel in a brilliant location. It was quite social even though on this occasion we didn't make friends. I'd have loved to stay longer and definitely would want to return. The beds were so so so comfortable with curtains - these were the first curtains we experienced in the Balkans. Quite cheap too with lovely clean communal areas and bathrooms. Brilliant.

Freedom Hostel is located in such a wonderful spot (Stari Grad,Budva), and the accommodation was maintained very well. Special thanks to Vladimir, he helped us a lot during the whole stay in the hostel.

New owners open in august. Friendly and happy to help in case. Really clean, with spaces. Just be careful about coming by foot, it’s hard but I was happy to stay there.

This was an amazing place to stay with very friendly hosts. High Hostel gets its name from how high it is on the side of a steep slope. Be ready for a serious hike up or for minor on your cars bottom from the elevation change to the road. It has an amazing view, a fire pit, locking storage for guests, movie night weekends and several beds. We enjoyed food, drinks, and good company. Highly recommend

The bathroom kitchen was clean, the kittens were cute, the view is super goood. It is a hard climb there by foot, some leaflets map, tips and tricks to budva, bus timetables would have been nice to have

I loved this place and the people there. A real backpacker's backpacker. Difficult to get to and somewhat chaotic but the friendly staff and fellow travelers made it all worthwhile. Mosquitoes were a problem and it would be nice if the owners did some more maintenance. I suspect the owners are coasting along on the fame of the place. Ask for directions to the tunnel to the 'hidden' Beach. A gem....

Namaste is like a big family. Aldo the manager and Andy are so nice people. Cheap beer, welcoming and chilling/partying every day. It was the best choice for us, it made our permanence in Bar unforgettable. The place has got everything you need, the bathroom is not so clean but you know... sometime for a good hostel this is just what you need to look for. It is next to a wild beach I recommend to everyone...
