Disappointing service I recently visited Villa Blanche for drinks with friends, having called ahead and been assured that no reservation was required for the bar. Whilst the venue itself is undeniably beautiful, the service was, regrettably, quite the opposite. After being seated outside, we waited approximately 20 minutes simply to receive a menu, followed by a further 30 minutes before our order was taken. Although the drinks arrived within a reasonable time, the service continued to deteriorate thereafter. When additional friends joined us, we requested another menu and were left waiting for over half an hour, despite staff passing by repeatedly. Upon finally addressing this, I was met with the rather astonishing response: “I forgot about you.” delivered without apology, courtesy, or even the slightest acknowledgement of the inconvenience. For an establishment of this calibre, one would expect at the very least a basic standard of attentiveness and professionalism. Unfortunately, this was entirely absent. We ultimately chose to leave, as the atmosphere was overshadowed by the sheer lack of care in service. A charming venue, sadly let down by profoundly poor hospitality.

We pre booked a taxi from the airport to Villa Blanche via thé hotel when booking our stay. We waited 45 minutes for it. Thé airport was totally empty by the time it arrived and Villa Blanche still added à 30% surcharge.

Our Breakfast was included on our first day, it was quite simply awful - there was literally a minuscule smear
of honey and no more available, thé local breads were dry and hard/stale and the pancake was like a brick. For this VB charged 180 dirhams per person (18 euros) - meanwhile cafes nearby subsequently proved that Moroccan breakfasts were indeed a triumph at 35 dirhams (3 euros 50) The omelettes, breads and pancakes at local cafes were light and fluffy and extrêmely enjoyable and the variety of dips were delicious. Given the vast amount of fresh produce that is available within à 10 minute drive there is no excuse for such a poor selection of inferior produce at breakfast at Villa Blanche.

Our room was lovely, but quite shabby, Thé bed linen was delightful but the pillows were very hard and lumpy, uncomfortable and smelt of beef stew!
We were consistently given One towel and for 5 of our 7 nights we had to ring down for another as we were two people. This theme continued with the toilet paper, coffee pods, pen and paper etc. It wad tedious having to constantly ring for what one would assume through the daily rate paid for the hotel (high end bracket!) should actually be provided. Thé evening ‘turndown’ service was placing two chocolates on the bed and lighting à candle - this was nice but totally inconsistent happening only 4 times. Also anything left in the room like drinking glasses, Tea pot, even unconsumed night time chocolate was removed on cleaning. One tiny bar of soap was our sink alllowance for the week - thé size on à euro coin. There was shower gel and shampoo provided in the shower, and sadly the water temperature was extremely inconsistent. Thé WiFi continually dropped out.
Thé Riad was a lovely building - it had a fresh aroma , beautiful decor and was calm and peaceful .
Geographically it was
Out of town and at the very end of the beach - so no convenience shops cafes or any other services within à 25 minute walk. Taxi’s became a surprising additional expense as did thé per person city tax.
The staff were lovely, always smiling and so willing to provide what was needed, however the fault lay firmly with inconsistent management which was such a shame. Thé Hotel rate charged did in no way represent thé basic threshold of consistent good service that is expected. I feel totally vindicated in my review as I was a Hotel Manager for many years.
We Enjoyed our holiday in Agadir and most definitely will return but sadly wouldn’t consider booking Villa Blanche again. I am committed to
My observations but very sad to have to write this negative review as running à hotel is not an easy job.
If More attention to detail was added and à very small amount of ‘generosity’ (which is actually already paid for within the tariff) thé hotel could be winning 5 star reviews!

Villa Blanch A beautiful small hotel which displays Moroccan charm. In particular the staff are good, attentive, friendly and want to please. This is the second time I have stayed and the hotel owners do need to upgrade some of the facilities and areas need to be redecorated. The covers for the loungers in the upgraded junior suite were ripped and need replacing. The spa area is dreary with a cool jacuzzi and worn out keep fit machines. It resembles a dungeon and not an area for relaxation. The breakfast is served but a buffet would be so much better where you can choose your own items. I watched cakes, bread, pancakes and more never consumed therefore wasted. More attention needs to be given to the quality of the overall breakfast served eg boiled eggs were served with their tops cut ready for the customer but raw!!! This hotel suffers from the owners being absent and not monitoring the establishment with enough detail. Exposed wires on the junior suite terrace dangerous and clearly not being addressed. The gardens are well maintained.

We had the most perfect stay. The location was amazing, a short walk down to the beach and in a really quiet neighbourhood. As soon as you walked in you immediately felt calm with serene music, candles and the most gorgeous smells. The staff were really helpful - we also indulged in a massive that was INCREDIBLE. The facilities are like no other - the indoor and outdoor pools were just lovely… clean, quiet and beautifully designed. We stayed in a suite which again was beautifully designed, really spacious and all the facilities you needed. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the pool and we had a sea view. There were towels and robes and sweet treats on arrival. We had lunch by the pool one day and cocktails in the bar which were both delicious. It was 100% worth the money. We didn’t want to leave!!

This place needs a lot of work.

The whole establishment has potential but it is in desperate need of an update. They need to do better at cleaning the facilities (I was not confident with the level of cleanliness at anytime)

It’s so overly perfumed with jasmine and flowers it’s overwhelming and un pleasant.

The staff outside the hotel (security and bellhops) were so friendly and lovely. They deserve a raise.

The waitstaff in the dining were also doing their best. A little chaotic but very friendly.

The front desk staff were often so grumpy it seemed you were bothering them when you asked anything. They also led us to believe breakfast was included and it in fact wasn’t - they should have made this clear at the beginning as we wouldn’t have eaten here daily otherwise (it’s definitely not worth it).

The spa reception lady was the worst - she couldn’t care less. Grumpy, rude and clearly hates her job. The treatments we received were also not at all up to par. My masseuse gave me the wrong massage, kept throwing the oil bottle between my legs and flicking the towel back and forth which wasn’t relaxing in the slightest. It’s the only time I’ve come away from a massage more tense than going in. The towel on the bed was also slightly damp which made me question its cleanliness. They also didn’t have any intake forms to ask about allergies or sign a waiver. She smeared a random substance all over my face which I never would have consented to (I got a massage not a facial).

The cleaning staff forgot to give us at least one towel daily and would hang up the robes damp as if they were new.

We stayed in so many places across Morocco and had LOVELY experiences with friendly staff and clean facilities and this was by far the worst. The only redeeming fact is the room was spacious. Please for your sake go stay somewhere else.

Super cozy boutique hotel with generous sized rooms all accompanied with a excellent restaurant and bar with live music

The room was lovely, spacious and clean with complimentary water and coffee. You get the traditional riad feel even though it's quite new but plenty of authentic Moroccan charm which makes it really cosy and friendly.
We were given an update on our original booking which was a bonus. The staff couldn't be more helpful with anything we wanted. Location wise was great, just a short walk to the beach and promenade and plenty of taxis around if you wanted to go a bit further, but also able to walk to most places if willing to.
On site the spa included an indoor pool, small gym and jacuzzi free to guests staying.
The onsite restaurant offers top quality food, but within a short walk are lots of other options to suit all tastes.
Our first time in Agadir and will definitely be returning soon!

The biggest attribute at this hotel is not the beautiful building, the amazing food or the calming atmosphere- it’s the combined staff. Literally everyone ( well, perhaps not the spa) meets you with a smile and you’re left in no doubt that you’re welcome and valued. Big shout out to Rida ( but equally want to recognise the other bar and restaurant staff and the endlessly cheerful pool guy and super helpful reception staff. I know why we returned here twice in 3 months - and despite the poor weather on this recent trip - we’ll be back.

It's okay. The interior is very interesting, but it's very dark. We stayed on the second floor, so you couldn't see a thing in the room. It was always dimly lit. Overall, I liked everything.
The service was excellent. Everyone was polite and helpful with any questions.
There are also no fruit shops nearby.
But that's true for the coastline.
