🌍
Namibia, Windhoek, 2 Schanzen Street
● Center: 1.2 km

Several guests highlight the cleanliness and comfort of accommodations, especially the upgraded bathrooms and comfortable beds. The tents are described as spacious, well-equipped, and including practical features like electrical heated blankets and outdoor showers. The onsite restaurant and bar receive frequent praise for good food with a German touch and a friendly atmosphere. The pool and garden areas add to the relaxing environment, complemented by helpful and friendly staff according to most reviews. Two reviews mention issues with staff behavior, specifically citing a staff member named Anusha being rude and a manager named Kristy displaying poor customer service. Some guests report noise from the nearby town affecting the camping experience due to the open nature of tents and camping sites. Operational inconsistencies are noted, such as the kitchen closing unpredictably despite stated hours and the self-service nature of the establishment.

We really loved our stay at Urban camp, the place was quirky, fun and practical. We were in a deluxe tent for two, it was awesome and immaculate, with everything you’d except in a hotel. The bar and restaurant was great too, as was breakfast, the staff were all really friendly and helpful.

This place exceeded our expectations for our first night in Namibia. it was beautiful and the tents were amazing. i loved the outdoor showers too. The food in the restaurant was lovely - it was a fabulous stsart to our holiday.

The Camp is the perfect place to start or end the trip in Windhoek. The stands are shaded, with a private braai and seating area, power and water. The showers and toilets are clean and close by. We can recommend the restaurant with the German food touch. Because it is so close to town, you get some of the noise here and there.

We were here the third time because it is a perfect place to stay - we miss nothing and the crew there is very kind. Restaurant and Bar is great.

Very nice setup, clean showers, and cozy finishing touches. The sheltered camping sites with barbecue pits are a great feature. One of the cutest-looking campsites I’ve seen. BUT… The biggest drawback of this place is Anusha (not even a small swimming pool). She was very rude—she snapped at me when I came to the bar asking for directions, demanded passports in a commanding tone, and didn’t want to give us a shaded camping spot until another staff member stepped in and sorted it out. She also doesn’t seem to use words like “thank you,” “please,” or “sorry.” Anusha—if you are tired of working in the same place for 10 years, maybe it’s time for a change. Staff should remember that they are there to help guests, not the other way around. Although the campsite is a good pit stop in Windhoek, we won’t be coming back because the last thing we want to deal with is staff with no manners.

nice glamping (glamour camping) : confort of a fixed (tent) building with the price for a tent (that is 10 times cheaper than a lodge). Nice restaurant in the neighbourhood, etc. With the weakness of camping = you need quiet neighbours if you want a good night of sleep :)

Loved it here, beds and tents are so comfortable with everything you could need, even with filter coffee! Really enjoyed the hammock in front of the tent. Be aware that no walls means you can hear a lot! But they provide ear plugs. Ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. Toilet facilities are clean and plentiful, with an outdoor shower also. Grounds were very nice. It’s about a few min drive from the centre, not sure how long of a walk it would be. Area seems quiet otherwise.
