The all-inclusive option is surely the one to go for if you are going to this hotel. There are drinks and snacks available all day which is awesome. Beautiful room, helpful attentive staff. Lovely selection at breakfast buffet cooked meats, yogurts jams salad eggs bacon sausages mushrooms cereal fruit juices gorgeous freshly baked bread and rolls. Right in the middle of Assen near some great bars including ones with dartboards which was a big must for my husband. Would happily come back here again.

Location, quite central to most points of interest. Enough privacy. Cozy cottage, really complete and with plenty of storage space for such a little place.

Perfect location in a quiet area, with parking on the private road. Yvonne provided an incredible breakfast every morning in the room, and was very accommodating to our changing schedule. The suite was very cosy, and had all the amenities you could think of.

We have stayed in many luxury hotels, but for us this was the first B&B. And what kind. I honestly can't name any areas for improvement. The tapas in the bath, the room and the delicious breakfast… everything was good! Yvonne and Jos, thank you very much for the great weekend and the hospitality!

Fairly low budget hotel. Service was OK, friendly staff. The building is old, which gives a nice vibe. However, the rooms are not all well maintained. In our room, the shower cabin was broken with sharp metal edges. The carpet in the halls showed various stains and smudges. The breakfast was delicious! For short: low budget hotel with a nice breakfast, but could use some maintenance.

The hotel itself is positioned quite lovely near the highway and it only a few minutes drive to reach the Groningen City Center. The staff is friendly and knows their way around the area which comes in handy. The reason i am not granting it a full 4 or 5 star rating is, due to the state the swimming pool was in the water itself is quite lovely But the Radiators and some other parts of the pool area...

The room was very nice and the breakfast was rich. It was a bit bad that 4 euros were deducted when submitting the online check-out. I had already paid 4 euros per day in tax at the hotel after checking in.

For me it is far from the city. The room is small and different from other countries. The laptop is online, but when we get to the counter, we have to pay 10 dollars extra. I don't understand.

The location is good. The staffs are very friendly. We had a room with full of smoking smell and so many beer glasses in the room. The receptionist changed the room. But how can HK clear the room! The rooms are good. In one of the rooms was very high sound of AC constant.

Just a quick night stay here as it was close to station. Didn't like the fact that reception is not 24 hours (closes at 10pm) and I had hard time getting in after that and heater in the room was not working. However, has an OK breakfast and modern rooms.

So if you want to check in after 10pm, there is nobody at the front desk and you will only get in if you arrange with the hotel ahead of time to have the room and key for you ready and receive a code for the front door. Excellent hotel in the city center of Groningen

Location is great with friendly stuff. Hotel looks old with very basic small rooms. The bathroom is too old fashioned and simple. Breakfast was standard Dutch breakfast. Hotel is 2 mins walk from Martijn tower.

A very good hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The Weeva restaurant is superb! Breakfast is also excellent in terms of quantity, quality and service. The superior twin rooms are ideally sized and very comfortable; a few minor issues of maintenance needed but nothing to really detract from my enjoyment. Stayed there with m son and a friend of his. The room was clean however the floor seemed to be moving as if it wasn't solid. Bathroom was very small. I didn't know how to close the windows, nor did I want to since I didn't see any form of airconditioning and the noise from the street kept me awake most of the night. Location of the Hotel is just perfect! The staff are very helpful and kind. The room and especially the bed linens are very clean. The bed is soft and relaxing. The bathroom is rather small, but it has a high rating for the value of money!

We had a comfort room which was nice. A very spacious shower (some come with a bath, but not all of them). The hotel location is great near the city center. Breakfast was nice. A lot of different juices, and your regular buffet with bread, yoghurt and fruit. Had a very nice stay, also a 24H reception. Only thing I would've liked different we're the pillows. They were too soft for my liking.

The staff were friendly, and spoke good English. They have a very good breakfast. There was a relaxed vibe with interesting animal themed interior design. The staircases are steep and the rooms need to be repainted at some point. Overall, I liked the place and would come back here again.

Breakfast starts at 7 AM. Last day not all breakfast stuff was in place before 7.30 AM. As a business traveller, I'm prefer breakfast starts at 6.30. The room interior could have been more modern. Appreciated the jacuzzi in the room. Otherwise the interior in the lobby etc is cool.

The accommodation is very tasteful and clean. A simple but good breakfast and friendly, honest and helpful staff make this hotel a tip for all those who are not satisfied with mediocrity. Unfortunately, it is not completely quiet, especially at weekends there is a lot of partying in the streets until late at night.

My only complaint is that there is no elevator and the steps we had to use were a huge obstacle. I could barely make it up the steps and going down was just as bad as the stairs were very steep

Property was very clean with kind and helpful staff who helped carry our heavy luggage up the stairs and even ran our dishes in the dishwasher for us. Breakfast service was great with many options. It was a little hard to sleep on hot nights (visited in August) since the neighborhood was too noisy to keep the windows open, but I guess that is what happens when you choose a convenient city center location...

I slept very well in a quiet room with a comfortable single bed. The room was small, but I wasn’t intending to spend any time there other than to sleep. The shower was nice and hot and breakfast excellent.

Too stupid to operate the sauna! extra paid for a sauna in the room. Having read the instructions we could not get it to work. I explained when I was leaving. I was told that I must not have read the instructions and if I had called somebody they would have got it working. That is what normally happens. To me this says there is an on going problem. I was offered a cake for my disappointment. Not good...

What a wonderful hotel! The room was lovely and incredibly spacious, and my teenage son even dubbed the shower a 'dream shower'. And the staff were incredibly friendly. It was such a breath of fresh air to see people genuinely enjoying their work and serving with such enthusiasm! My son and I have a tradition of ending our evenings with 'dessert in bed'. Unfortunately, the kitchen was already closed...

I only stayed one night but it was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is located next to the old town, so it's easy to go sightseeing, and the view from the hotel was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and I had a comfortable stay. I was also very happy that there was a bathtub.

Fine hotel, the staff were friendly. Parking was close. There is no traditional bar in the hotel. So socialising is limited. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it as a place to sleep, its not a hotel for families of entertaining, very busineslike.

Only had coffee and cake so didn’t stay in hotel . Service was great and cakes were amazing ! Sweet delicious and picturesque!!!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful immaculately presented, the rooms are very good and big, the single beds are more like small double and very soft and comfortable. The only slight thing I would suggest is reducing the valet parking price as I thought it was a bit steep.

The staff was remarkable. The breakfasts, because of our 7 night stay, was whatever we wanted. Served the way you like it. They were very helpful in suggestions for restaurants and directions for things to see. All 19 rooms are different! The only negative was the housekeeping could be better in cleaning rooms and removing rubbish.

I stayed here in April 2025 for four nights. I would certainly stay here again. Clean, comfortable snd convenient just five minutes walk from the Martini Tower and very close to the University. The best thing was the staff who were really welcoming and helpful.

The location is very convenient for commuting to the city and the university, with a bus stop nearby. The hotel has a unique design and access control. The breakfast was rich and the coffee was good.

Not bad, but the city tax is not very accurate. I was charged 8 euros and the software showed that I had to pay 7.4 euros.

The hotel is next to a zoo, and it is above a supermarket so it is quite convenient, there is a big parking lot at the front but it is not free. The room is clean and spacious. It is simple but comfortable for a simple stay. I did not get to try to facilities but it looks like their breakfast is quite expensive. Nonetheless, we were there for business and it suits the purpose.

Best in town A nicely updated or new property with a great location next to the zoo and downtown Emmen. I had the large room with king size bed and it was very comfortable. The room has a nice air conditioner. Highly recommended.

I stayed in your former Hampshire Hotel several times, and have stayed in this hotel twice, though it isn’t always booked in my name.
