Post-Plaza Hotel & Grand Café in Leeuwarden

This is only for the food which was decent but the service was awful.
Bringing the wrong bottle of wine and ignoring us when we told them it was not what we ordered.
When we finished a course, they took away two of the eight plates and then started to ignore us.
The food took ages to arrive, about 45 minutes between starter and main course.
When we wanted to leave the waiter told us to stay and have a further chat. What?

My husband and I stayed here for a work trip of his and the restaurant and staff are great and attentive. The town of leeuwarden is very charming and quiet, I can’t say the same about the rooms at this hotel. I have never slept worse in my life than the three nights we stayed at post plaza… this could be partly jet lag to blame, but the rooms are so loud and most definitely not sound proofed at all. Our room faces a small alley on the ground floor and there was loud laughter, screaming, and music late at night and all day long. I hoped for a quiet space to catch up on rest as I’m early in my pregnancy, and just feel like a ball of exhaustion our entire trip that I couldn’t enjoy myself at all. You can even hear people in neighboring rooms and the beeping of others opening up their hotel rooms. If you plan to get sleep here, don’t..the WiFi is also sketchy and never cooperating which is frustrating when you’re tired and trying to get work done….otherwise, the atmosphere in the lobby and restaurant is great
