Sinking into silk sheets, I gazed at houseboats bobbing below. Room service arrived: stroopwafels, bitterballen, and champagne fizzing like fireworks. Midnight stroll? Nah. Instead, a random jazz playlist from the spa radio lured me to the rooftop bar. Stars, Amstel lights, a stranger's flirtatious laugh. Pure magic. Woke refreshed, Amsterdam reborn. Unforgettable stay.
And the rooms very clean. Absolutely recommend!
Because my email seemingly didn't reach the hotel, or only partially did, the birthday surprise planned by the hotel – a thoughtful gesture of a small cake with a card – unfortunately arrived in the room on the wrong day.
Despite these minor mix-ups, it was still a very lovely birthday weekend for my husband overall, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
