Hotelletje de Veerman in Ost-Vlieland

We stayed here 2 nights for a family visit and at the same time escaping the heatwave at home, where it was 30+ degrees. On the island it was a cool 21 degrees, perfect for cycling and walking around. Ok, that is not about the hotel, but just setting the scene. The hotel is at the end of the main street and therefore quiet compared to the other hotels in that street. Specially when the Dutch soccer team is playing in the World Cup. Built in 2015 it is a rather modern hotel, but not modern in the sense of a boutique hotel, it is more a decent, solid, quaint hotel. We got room 1 which is on the ground floor and therefore missing the view over the Wad due to the dike in front. That room is basic but has all the necessities; a tv, 2 good beds, small bathroom, wardrobe. No fridge though. Breakfast is really good. You get a standard basket with all kinds of bread and can get the garniture from the buffet. A doggy bag is foreseen to avoid food spillage. This is all accompanied with a fresh fruit basket. Staff is friendly. Luggage is being taken care of for you, and will be brought to the boat. The bar is self paying with lots of choice. All in all recommendable.

We have stayed here several times, and are working our way through all the room options. This time, we had a ground floor room facing the dike. We took full advantage of our own private exit, and during the warmer months, this will probably be our choice. The staff is wonderful, the owners personable, friendly and, if time permits, will chat with guests. And that's what we feel like when we're there. Valued guests. We have stayed there summer, winter and fall. Guess we'll have to try spring next!

Super clean, and some of the friendliest and obliging staff I've encountered on any trip. Can't comment of food as we didn't eat there, but would certainly recommend. Only thing I'd say is that it isn't a 5 min walk from the harbour - more like 15 mins - but you walk the length of the main stret so you get your bearings early on.

Absolutely incredible service and very reasonable prices! Incredible views in all directions. I’m very glad to of visited this little bit of Heaven on Earth.

First time staying here and have been really enjoying it here. Friendly staff, breakfast has a nice personal service to it, great view of the sea and located in the village. Only a few minutes away from the harbour. Perfect.
