Ost-Vlieland, Badweg 3 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is comfortably situated near the beach but not to far from the center. You can take a bus from/ to the harbor which is free of charge for the hotel guests. The rooms are spacious clean and need. The only thing missing was air conditioning and a fridge. Tasty breakfast with enough choice (also fruit). The staff was wonderful and very helpful and I recommend a relaxing massage in the wellness...
We had apartment 243. It had a view of the dunes and the lighthouse. The beach is very close. The building looks like a nursing home/hospital. The apartment itself is modernly furnished. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the awning. Apparently, the owner doesn't allow us to use it. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to help you. The bike shed was already full, so it must be overcrowded during...
Super spot to stay, rooms with Arabier are excellent….. enjoyed the stay !
First time Vlieland, nice stay!
The hotel was right on the beach. Our room could access directly into the dunes. Great sunsets every night (from beach not room). From room could sadly not see the sea as the dunes were in front of it. Rooms were refitted so looked new and modern. Rest of hotel is rather old. Swimming pool (indoor only) old. Spa needed to pay. Breakfast was ok. There is a busservice included with the hotel. Stops right...
The layout was a bit confusing. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

What I loved the most was how lovely the people were: All of the staff we met at check-in, at the bar and at breakfast in the morning were super kind and funny. We checked in a bit late which was no problem, they were very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view. Breakfast was plenty, fresh and delicious. 10/10 would recommend.
Great location, small room
Super locatie, aardige medewerkers, mooi hotel. Wij hadden wel een hele kleine donkere kamer aan de achterkant met alleen een klein raampje dat open kon.
Very nice and modern hotel with comfy beds.
Very close to the ferry terminal, and just outside of the old town on Vlieland.
Good food in the restaurant, but quite a small collection of cocktails and wine, and the breakfast buffet is unfortunately quite overpriced.
We had coffee at Zeezicht today on the terrace and it was very pleasant to sit there and enjoy the view of the Waddenzee. The coffee was very good. The lady that served was very friendly and professional. The choice of cakes was pretty okay too.
Very cozy hotel, with nice room and friendly staff. The breakfast is good, with various options. Rooms are comfy and of a good size. They have also some good wines - I found my favorite one (Scaia bianca - garganega and chardonnay), what a surprise!
Really quiet spacious room with black out curtains. The double bed is split so they often spread from each other. The bed duvet is LUXURIOUS as they're weighted making it nice and snug. The pillows however, are very hard and heavy and uncomfortable to sleep on. The waterfall shower is amazing and the rituals soaps are divine however there were no tissues in the bathroom nor a fridge in the main room...

We had a great dinner this weekend. They have very kind and attentive staff and lovely food.
Went for dinner. Romantic chic location. Crew is fabulous. Food is great
We enjoyed our recent stay in Badhotel Bruin. The old building has a lot of charme and the family room was big and comfortable. Bed and shower quality were excellent. Location is perfect, right in the middle of all shops and restaurants. Ferry terminal and bike rental are at walking distance. It is not necessary to arrange a transfer or take a bus to get to the hotel when you arrive at the island....
Again, friendly hotel staff and a neat and clean interior. The kids beds prepared love and care. The restaurant staff was informative and professional. The diner tasty. Will return, again! 2-dec.
excellent servicie, very nice people, i really enjoy my stay in this hotel, i will definitely come back, the restaurant was the best with very delicious food and the servicie there was also excellent.
Very nice hotel, clean rooms, great staff. Staff is really engaged and cares for your wishes. Great restaurant, good quality food and original compared to the rest of the island. Really nice atmosphere. Clean wellness. Great kids playroom, kids menu, nothing is too much for these guys. Good place!

Had an amazing time! Vlieland is an amazing place, bike rental was close by and convenient. Staff were generally quite nice. Had some issues with room service but other than that it was great! Would HIGHLY recommend
Great staff, lovely clean rooms, delicious breakfast buffet!
No toilet paper in the room and busy breakfast buffet during the Corona situation not appropriate
The hotel is located a 5 minute walk away from the ferry terminal.
Beds are very soft and comfy. The shower supplies are new/full bottles. Balconies are closed off from the neighbouring rooms and partly closed fencing.
When we arrived early they arranged an earlier check-in after a quick call. Upon arrival the front desk even helped carry a couple of heavy luggage up two flights of stairs.
The restaurant...

A quiet hotel on the main street. My room was very comfortable with super views over the river. Breakfast was better than average with hot and cold choices and despite some issues with the coffee machine on the first day, all in all very nice. The garden, which abuts the river is a lovely place to relax.
Absolutely perfect location for some relaxed days at De Cocksdorp Texel! Nice rooms, lecker breakfast, short distance to everything you may need at Texel - Fietsverhuur, Supermarket, Churches of both confessions, shops for souvenirs - and very nearby to a fantastic pub / restaurant: EETCAFE DE ROG (!) and not to forget: just a 10 minutes walk away from the magnificent WADDENMEER! The team of both,...
Perfect stay!
Great, friendly staff - you feel right at home. Modern, cosy and quite large rooms. Tasty and varied breakfast. Plus a lounge for communal use, outdoor spaces, bicycle parking. Close to restaurants and attractions on the island.
Everything was absolutely perfect - highly recommended!
Wonderful hotel and most kind staff!
The expectation of this kind of hotel is that it is personal and friendly. That was most definitely the case. Also on my first morning, I had an early round of golf and normally breakfast is served later. But the staff was so kind to serve breakfast a bit earlier so I could have breakfast before my round.
5/5
Super nice hotel to spend the weekend. We were warmly welcomed by Miranda who helped us so much (before and during our stay) and made us feel at home! The breakfast was amazing and the rooms very clean and comfortable. We strongly recommand this place. (DT)

We stayed here for 4 days on a trip to Texel. The room was modern and very Comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast included had a really good variety of nice quality food. We are at the restaurant a couple of times during our stay and the food and service was fantastic. The hotel rent bikes too, which was really useful. In summary, a great place and good value...
Wonderful visit for our 30th wedding anniversary. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was fresh and updated.
Very relaxing, clean and stylish minimalist design. Quiet location within walking distance to dunes and reed beds. Excellent cycling lanes. Plenty of wildlife and within easy cycling distance to colourful bulb fields, coastal tracks, wetlands and villages. Limited places to eat without transport. The food in the restaurant however is delicious and excellent quality but fairly pricy. Limited choice...
This was the perfect location for my trip with great food, accommodations, staff, and clean.
A very Nice hotel and clean, free parking too. we could easily access other places in Textel with fietsen which you can also hire from the hotel. Ontbijt was also ok
Quite disappointed that access to Sauna needed an extra payment but everyone could access the Pool so this was alittle reliëf.

A little but overpriced ,only 1 small bottle of water fir 2 days..room was clean and comfortable but not enough pillows.
We liked our stay very much, the receptionist was very friendly and helped us instandly with every question. Parking is easy but expensive, but this is due to the cities public parking tarifs. EV charging on many spots around the corner. The Hotel has a very good breakfast.
central spot close to everything with good service
Central, quite quiet, old place done up nicely. The lift in this old building was very helpful for luggage.
Want to return
Very comfortable hotel, clean, lovely little balcony. We wish we could have stayed a bit longer

Harlingen, Voorstraat 18, 8861 BK (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Very comfy beds, excellent bathtub and beautiful open space. I feel the open space would be better utilised with a sofa than two chairs. Also the two halves of the bed separated very very easily, which is an incovenience in a room specced for romance. Maybe attach them together?
Very reasonably priced for 2 nights. Due to rail delays we were very late for our arrival and the owner Was nothing but helpful. He was waiting very early in the morning. Extremely friendly and Helpful.
The hotel was a very nice, unique little boutique hotel. Perfectly situated in the heart of the centre 100m from the harbour. The owner was very accommodating and we felt safe with the corona measures...
The rates are really reasonable.
The breakfast is nice and has coffee tea and fresh bread.
The room was clean and had great beds. We slept really well.
There are many quirky features in the rooms and the choice of furniture was a change compared to many of the places we stay.
We have two improvement points that would have made it a 4 star rating.
- There is nothing in the room to make a cup of coffee...
We enjoyed our short stay a lot. Cozy and clean room with a modern bathroom. Friendly staff and good breakfast.
Spacious and beautiful modern room with spotless bathroom, right in the center of town. Varied and plentiful buffet breakfast, and helpful and attentive staff.
Great hotel with a good location and amazing breakfast, everthing works perfect, for sunday you can park your car in front of the hotel without anyproblem but unfortunately they have no parking place. The decoration of the room is so minimalist and cool.

A lovely little hotel with nice rooms. It could have been a bit cleaner and less dusty in places.
You have to pick up your room key at the Hotel Zeezicht. There's also a secure storage area for bicycles.
We would come back.
Location is fantastic - but you get the keys and breakfast at a different location.
Building is really old but very authentic - though a bit cold in the room. Lovely breakfast though and staff were very nice.
No elevator. Steep staircase. These facts need to be mentioned in hotel listing. Did not receive instructions where to check in to pick up the room keys. After phone call I placed info was received to walk to another location to check in.
Perfect little cozy budget lodgement. Bathroom is almost brandnew and everything is clean and good planned. Not our last stay !!

I would say I haven't stayed there for too long, the service is quite nice and the folk are friendly. My main issue was with the bathroom and the water heating system. There were no precautions notifications for them or how to operate it. Would appreciate it if the management could fix such an issue for tourists such as myself.
The historical hotel is very charming and situated in a beautiful area.
Kitchen serves delicious meals and the service is extremely nice and helpful! We have stayed at the hotel on several occasions and noticed new amenities and improvements each time. A big plus for comfortable beds, clean and cozy rooms.
It's one of those places you want to come back to!!
Spend a lovely time in here with my boyfriends ! The room was super cosy and the food wonderfully tasty, congratulations to the chefs 🍴👌
Hospitality perfect !
Great place to stay, really recommended 🌷
Worth to stay and delicious food too
Work put me here so I cannot comment on the value for money aspect of it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was tasty and the fish well cooked. The room was clean. However the decor was like stepping back in time to a Granny's house from when I was younger and whoever cleaned the shower did a good job from eye level down, but ignored the black mould up high
Lovely hotel in central Harlingen, great service and rooms. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to coming again!

Rear room on 2nd floor, no air conditioning, outdated interior and noisy parking lot with cleaning up catering from ground floor
The hotel is adequate for a short trip.
Everything you need is there, except for a hairdryer (!), which you should take with you. The furnishings have a few flaws everywhere and of course the room facing the bar is very noisy until late in the evening.
But it's OK for a few days.
The room is big enough, the island is very quiet, the scenery is beautiful, and the old lady at the front desk is also very nice. It's really nice to take a bike ride, with 360-degree views. Come here if you want to get drunk on oxygen.
Very, very tired...
Rooms are big, but very basic and tired. Too tired for the price - I wouldn't have minded for a budget hotel, but this hotel doesnt sell itself as such. Beds far too soft, linen ripped, no airco, very noisy. Great location, near the beach and restaurants.
Very helpful, very kind although professional staff

This hotel is a top notch experience on the lovely island of Texel. The people who worked there went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, from reserving transport to booking tours. A special shout out to Jonas who was so kind and thoughtful! The entire place is beautifully designed and gives you a true feeling of relaxation and serenity. We had a room with sea view which was fantastic...
Nice spacious rooms, I like the furnishing and decorations, all in one bue/brown theme. Extensive breakfast with local products and only a short walk to the beach.
Ever been to a hotel where the web site totally oversells it? Less common is the opposite and that would be the Hotel Opduin. When I booked it, looking at the website I presumed a charming (and perhaps slightly run down) hotel nestling near the dunes. Perhaps a simple dining room, and a hotel with a few guests mid week in May. Which couldn’t be more wrong. Let’s get a couple of issues out of the way...
Kind staff, hotel goes the extra mile. Amazing breakfast and great facilities. Would recommend as a partial wheelchair user.

We were on Texel for bird watching, the hotel's location is suitable for nearby trips. I appreciated the very pleasant and friendly atmosphere of the hotel, quiet accommodation,
very tasty evening menu. The advantage is the possibility of refreshments during the day, there was no problem with a gluten-free diet.
There is also a large parking lot available.
We came with Dutch friends who had stayed before. Very lovely, helpful attentive staff. Dinners were interesting, beautifully cooked, and presented. Breakfast was a fantastic spread of everything. Spacious room, very comfortable bed. We used the cycle hire. We sat in the sun overlooking the pond. It's totally relaxing and highly recommended. Awarded 5 stars bu us.
What a great place to stay. Not far from a nice center 15, mins walk. The beach 30 mins . The garden is a place to sit and watch the birds on the lake and wake up to there calls.
April Weekend getaway, rooms are perfect, bed is comfy and big enough, calefaction was working good and bathroom clean and with enough utilities. Only “maybe thing” is tv, a bit small but nothing bad.
Location is awesome since is walking distance to the center (6min walk) and has enough free parking.

Enjoyed a few days on Texel in a wonderful location. We stayed in De Koog and had a wonderful night's sleep in a very nice and renovated hotel with friendly staff. Highly recommended for the many visitors to the beautiful island of Texel.
A great hotel with almost all friendly employees! The room with balcony we had was spacious, clean and complete. A nice lounge, a good restaurant and beautifully situated on the edge of De Koog. It's a bit of a shame that the balcony room we had has a "view" of the other wing and that the restaurant only works with set menus. Apart from that: highly recommended!

The hotel looks lovely, but the apartment, though large and roomy, are not what you would expect from a hotel. No towels, no dish soap or cleaning supplies, no bathroom amenities. The beds were unmade and we had enough sheets to make up exactly 1 bed out of 4. Texel is amazing! Next time we will stay elsewhere.
Very friendly staff. Delicious food made with local ingredients. It just opened, so everything is super clean. The location is perfect for staying on this beautiful island.
Nice hotel, very good food, great team. 3 stars, but there should have been four of us.
Great place, good location. Room's are huge, a bit dated though. Overall a great experience.
Such a nice hotel with a bar. Adjacent to the national park. Nice breakfast buffet..
Correct for the price. This hotel is having reasonable prices. Well located in the middle of the island. You can rent a bike and you will close to best places in Texel.

I was on my way to go to Texel and had a terrible headache. The receptionist was so nice and gave me paracetamol. You saved my day, and my birthday. Thank you
My family and I have stayed at this hotel many times when visiting family in Den Helder over the years. We've managed to get a seaview room every time and love standing out on the balcony enjoying the breezes and the Texel ferry boats going back and forth. Service always good. Breakfast and restaurant are good. Only minor deal I have is lack of conveniently located plugs in the room to charge phones...
I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, but after a break of a couple of years I was a bit disappointed this time. The hotel feels tired now, and it’s clear that no renovation has been done in quite a while.
Breakfast was the main downside. The included breakfast is served in a separate room facing the ferry terminal, while the main restaurant area with the sea view is only for paid à la carte items...
Loved the location. Comfortable room with a view of the sea! Caprese salad and fries at the Lamb's end restaurant for a late lunch were great after finishing a 33 mile bike ride!
Stayed one night on Thu 8th May 2025 as needed to be on early ferry to Texel on the Friday morning.
A superb hotel, nice interior, and great sea views.
The breakfast is good, at first looks like not much on offer, but there is a decent amount.
Spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Had a seaview room with balcony and it was great. The view across to Texel was amazing. The staff at the hotel were excellent and made us very welcome. Hope to visit Den Helder again - its a very interesting place and we would stay at Lands End again .

This hotel is a hidden gem in Den Helder, and would highly recommend, the staff at the hotel are the warmest & friendliest I have been welcomed by.
The hotel let me use the facilities 4 hours early before my check in, and kept me topped up with Tea until my room was available.
The hotel is lovely and clean with friendly staff. Location is super to visit Texel or to stroll around in the area. One recommendation: they can make breakfast more free by allowing guests more 'self-service'. It is very kind that staff wants to assist by making coffees/juice and bring to the tables. However, it is a buffet- breakfast style. By over-accomodating, the staff adds more burden to themselves...
Good hotel with a bit small rooms but it was good enough for us. The breakfast was nice, they made fresh eggs and there were enough options. The hotel has an ideal location in the centre of Den Helder and most activities can easily be reached by walking or by bike.
The hotel is very centrally located and whilst being a little simple has very friendly and helpful staff. Large toom with comfy chairs. Bath and separate shower in the room. Breakfast was excellent. Railways station is only a couple of minutes away.
I stay in hotels a fair bit and there are a expensive ones, posh ones, average ones and terrible ones but you go a long way to find a group of staff who are as friendly and pleasant as those in the Forest Hotel. The hotel is stroll across from the train station and close to restaurants and bars. The rooms are clean, simple but all that you need. I will definitely return when working in Den Helder.
A great week long stay at this hotel which is conveniently situated in the centre of Den Helder. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a great breakfast included. What makes it a greater is the ladies who run the hotel who make you fee super welcome, nothing was too much and they should be commended for their customer service.
Highly recommended.
