Description

Hof van Putten is a 3-star hotel established in 1929, offering a wide variety of room types ranging from Standard Single rooms to Royal Suites. Guests can expect amenities such as free WiFi, a restaurant and bar, a sauna, massage services, and free bike rentals. The hotel features facilities for disabled guests, including dedicated parking and accessible rooms. Rooms include conveniences like a mini refrigerator, kettle, and capsule coffee machine in some categories. Despite its historic construction, the hotel has some dated features that guests have noted, such as the bed positioned directly opposite the entrance door and the absence of USB charging ports in rooms. The breakfast buffet is included during weekdays and weekends, although some guests found it limited in variety. Free parking on-site is a plus, and pet owners should note that pets are not allowed at this property. Overall, the hotel maintains an 8.6/10 rating for cleanliness, amenities, location, and service, reflecting a generally positive but mixed guest experience.

Location

Located at Harderwijkerstraat 14 in Putten, Netherlands, Hof van Putten sits about 6.2 km from Strand Horst Zuid beach. For travelers arriving by air, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) is approximately 58 km away. The hotel is set in a park-like, wooded environment near the entrance to the Veluwe, offering a quiet atmosphere while still being within walking distance of local amenities and eateries. This setting allows for easy access to natural surroundings and nearby attractions like sand sculptures in Garderen and Mariahoeve.

Tips

  • If you rely on charging devices, bring your own adapters as rooms do not have USB ports.

Its an OK hotel. Bit pricey, it needs a update or a renovation. The food was ok, except the eggs at breakfast. Sad is that the bed in the room is straight in front of the entrance door. Also the beds make a lot of sound. They are using “Rituals” products in the bathroom but as a regular consumer of Rituals products i strongly think that those are probably just Rituals bottles filled with some cheaper alternative or something like that. Because the shampoo was exactly the same as body and hand soap.

No EV charging on site. Restaurant service very slow eat out in town just a short walk

while this is a beautiful hotel, It lacks many amenities. No wash cloths, tissues, or USb ports to charge items were in the rooms. Found staff to be friendly.

The hotel is nestled in a beautiful park like scenery. Excellent breakfast included. Comfortable suite. excellent professional, and courteous staff.

I am booking.com genius 3 level traveller.I am travelling a lot. First time I saw that there is no bottle of water in the room. Even in 2 stars hotel there is. It is very cheap calculation. Second important thing is you can not turn off the lights from your bed. There is no buton for this. you should get up and you should turn off the lights. Very tiring.I would kindly remind you that we are in 2025. Not ancient times.

We stayed at the hotel for one night in a deluxe room. The room is clean, beautiful, comfortable and very warm bathroom, which has a bath and shower, this is a nice bonus. I didn't really like the location of the bed opposite the entrance to the room, and there were no glass glasses for water, these were the minus.
To the surprise of Dutch hotels, the floors were relatively clean. In general, the price and quality met expectations.
The room has a mini refrigerator, kettle and capsule coffee machine.
There was a small child with us, and they presented us with a small bed.
The staff was pleasant, but we had minimal contact. We did not order breakfast, so we cannot evaluate the food and other parts of the hotel. The location of the hotel is good, not in the forest, but not far.

A nice, clean, apparently well run place. Our check in was quick and courteous, and service throughout was equally good. There is dedicated disabled parking, access to the reception / dining areas, and to the rooms we stayed in. We had booked two twin rooms, both of which were comfortable and well appointed. Evening meal and breakfast were good .... evening meal portions were large and well prepared, while breakfast was a very nice buffet. We'd have no qualms about staying here again

We had booked for four nights, but unfortunately the rain ruined the stay. The hotel is clean and tidy, beds are okay, and the bathroom is free of mold. The hotel staff is polite and courteous. From this hotel, there are many things to see: sand sculptures (Garderen), Mariahoeve. We wanted to go for a nice walk in the area, but the rain spoiled our plans; unfortunately, we left one day early. A big thumbs up for this hotel. After a long day, happy hour there is highly recommended.

We stayed at the hotel from May 26 to May 29, 2022, in a Superior Comfort room. Room 207. The room was fine with an excellent bed, but the bathroom was very disappointing. Small, old-fashioned, and not very clean. There wasn't even a rack to put your toiletry bag on. You could only store your toiletries on a small shelf above the sink. The toilet was not very clean and is in need of a thorough cleaning. Brown deposits were visible in the curve of the bowl and under the water surface (I am not talking about traces of stool, but brown deposits resulting from a lack of maintenance). The breakfast room is not particularly cozy. A few tables for two and four, but mostly long rows of tables where you have to queue. The breakfast is just boring and not very varied. Boring bread. The same selection every day. A bowl of fresh fruit is probably too expensive, so just fruit from cans, though with some freshly cut pineapple mixed in. One plus point: good coffee.
