Hotel V Oosterpark in Amsterdam

Good location and the room is very spacious as described

Truly great (and much needed) transformation of the former Tropenhotel. The ‘new’ Hotel V Oosterpark (opened about 6 months ago) has spacious no-nonsense, modern (almost minimalistic) and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. While not everything is perfect (poor lighting, no possibility to open any windows with temperature control not perfect, etc) the overall price/quality is good (for Amsterdam). Although the hotel is not centrally located it is only a short tram ride to the Rijksmuseum etc. Breakfast is good - although too expensive when booked separately (€27.50!!)! Compared to typical luxury hotels, this hip hotel is more suitable for travelers looking for value for money.

Upon entering the hotel lobby, I was greeted by a subtle fragrance.

The customer service staff were professional and efficient.

The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding.

I even bought the hotel's body lotion and body wash. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Netherlands!

Excellent location at Hotel V Oosterpark, Linnaeusstraat 2C, 1092 CK Amsterdam, directly next to Oosterpark.
Parking is convenient at Q-Park Oostpoort, Polderweg 92, 1093 KP Amsterdam, which is approximately a 700 m walk from the hotel.
At the moment, ongoing construction work makes access a bit less convenient, and arriving by car may require a detour.
The location is very good for leisure activities, walking, and sports thanks to the immediate proximity to Oosterpark.
The building feels new and has a clean, minimalist style.
The rooms are modern, with minimalist furniture and a well-executed contemporary interior design.
The bathroom design was less practical for me, as there is no proper door, so cold air from the room comes in while showering, which feels uncomfortable.
The amenity kit is stylish and gives a premium impression.
The bed was unfortunately too soft for my personal preference.
Breakfast was good overall, especially the egg station where guests can order eggs prepared to their liking.
Overall, this is a modern and well-designed hotel with a strong location, though a few comfort details could be improved.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel V Oosterpark. The room was spacious, clean and nice. We also found the hotel to be conveniently located for walking around Amsterdam or for catching a tram.

This was an amazing value experience! The place was clean and hygienic, with a fun design. Overall, it was very refined, giving me a real Dutch feel compared to typical star-rated hotels. There are several high-quality neighborhood pubs nearby, a park just downstairs, a museum nearby, and convenient transportation.
