It's very convenient for dining out; there's a supermarket next to the City Hall, only about 200 meters from the hotel. We actually went to the supermarket several times a day. First-class hotel in a great location, right in the city center. The early breakfast was very good, with fresh juices, fruit, and eggs in every possible form. The hotel can only be reached by car. However, there is a parking garage nearby.

This was our fifth stay at The Market. It's fantastically located on the Grote Markt, with a lovely, large terrace in front of it. It's wonderfully bustling, both day and night. The experience is quite good. The restaurant downstairs has good food. Locals like to dine here. The restaurant is also a place for breakfast in the morning. The design is also very good. The hotel is very convenient to go out, which adds a lot to my impression of Groningen.

It's got a nice walk around the lake and plenty to explore. Unusual hotel and full of life. Food was good and staff always friendly and helpful. Have enjoyed the many stays swimming pool is decent length.

Perfect, I really love this hotel

I find it difficult to understand that a hotel that defines itself as excellent, is supposedly a 4 and a half stars and charges 180€ a room per day only offers a tiny piece of soap as toiletry, doesn’t have a minibar in the room and the parking is very far from the entrance. Besides it doesn’t include breakfast in such level of price.

Best hotel in Netherlands. View is fantastic, luxury rooms. Tempered pool. A fantastic terrace with access to the lake. Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Reception guys are very kind. Absolutelly recomendable.

The room was very nice and the breakfast was rich. It was a bit bad that 4 euros were deducted when submitting the online check-out. I had already paid 4 euros per day in tax at the hotel after checking in.

The location is very convenient for commuting to the city and the university, with a bus stop nearby. The hotel has a unique design and access control. The breakfast was rich and the coffee was good.

Very good hotel, very close to the main street, the public area on the first floor is large, you can read, meet friends, work, the room design is reasonable, very comfortable to live in. Great hotel with a boutique feel. Second time in this tasteful, impeccably clean hotel. Great area, very central. And they do their best to bring a personal touch (they remembered we were there to see our son). Our preference goes to firmer mattresses and pillows but that is subjective. Our room was beautiful and much more spacious than I was expecting. Service was always friendly and helpful. We could not have been more pleased with the whole experience. The location was perfect. I loved that I could always find it from the bell tower if I got turned around.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel for one night. The rooms were clean and fully equipped, with comfortable beds and bathrooms. The location is superb. There was no reason for any complaints.

Great staff comfy rooms good location

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It's a little far from the city center, so it was quiet. I imagine that if there had been people or cars making noise outside, I would have heard it quite a bit, but that wasn't the case during my stay, so it was very comfortable. The staff were also kind. I was told that a hotel tax receipt would be sent by email, but it never arrived.

It’s ok. Not great, just ok. The rooms are very nicely decorated and recently renovated. However, they won’t let anyone use the (perfectly operational) fitness center at the moment because they insist on storing a [redacted] ton of towels in there. Why the towels can’t be stored elsewhere, I don’t know. There’s also a weird electronic humming noise that runs 24/7 throughout my room and it’s driving...

The room was well equipped with a mini-fridge, ironing board and iron and sufficient closet space. Very clean. I wil stay again!

Night mare I liked the wurlitzer music box on the entrance. Room temperature was a bit cold for me this could be because of long curtains blocking the radiator. The night shift guy has some anger control problem. I waited 5 minutes outside of the hotel on the first night and 15 minutes, on the last,as the gates were closed after midnight.

Very central location. The hotel has its own parking garage close by. It was unclear though that you had to prereserve a spot. On our first night we had to park in a public parking garage. Good breakfast and nice large rooms. There was a slight cigarette smell in our room though. Unclear whether that was due to the neighbours or previous hotel guests.

Excelent accomodation in the center of Groningen

The accommodation is very tasteful and clean. A simple but good breakfast and friendly, honest and helpful staff make this hotel a tip for all those who are not satisfied with mediocrity. Unfortunately, it is not completely quiet, especially at weekends there is a lot of partying in the streets until late at night.

Best hotel in Groningen This was our third stay at this really beautiful hotel. Exceeds all expectations. Absolutely amazing staff and service. The location is perfect. Love this place and will always stay when in Groningen. Thank you!

My only complaint is that there is no elevator and the steps we had to use were a huge obstacle. I could barely make it up the steps and going down was just as bad as the stairs were very steep

Great apartment , nice to able to make koffie in the room. It was a little bit noisy at night because of the bar.

I only stayed one night but it was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is located next to the old town, so it's easy to go sightseeing, and the view from the hotel was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and I had a comfortable stay. I was also very happy that there was a bathtub.

Location may be a bit of a walk from the train station, but it is close to the city centre. Friendly staff, clean room.

The single room is very small. The breakfast is mainly cold dishes such as bread spread/cheese and fruit, as well as one or two hot dishes. Toothbrushes and indoor slippers are not provided. The front desk is nice, but the facilities are really just that. The location is very convenient

Fairly low budget hotel. Service was OK, friendly staff. The building is old, which gives a nice vibe. However, the rooms are not all well maintained. In our room, the shower cabin was broken with sharp metal edges. The carpet in the halls showed various stains and smudges. The breakfast was delicious! For short: low budget hotel with a nice breakfast, but could use some maintenance.

Everything was great. It's nice and quiet with only the lovely church bells. The food was great, coffee cups a bit small. But the daily bread was fantastic and the bacon premium smoked.

What a wonderful hotel! The room was lovely and incredibly spacious, and my teenage son even dubbed the shower a 'dream shower'. And the staff were incredibly friendly. It was such a breath of fresh air to see people genuinely enjoying their work and serving with such enthusiasm! My son and I have a tradition of ending our evenings with 'dessert in bed'. One night stay for 24 hours in Groningen and it did exactly what we wanted. Easy check in, clean room for a family of 4 with 2 sets of bunk beds and a shower. We parked in the Q-Park Rademarkt (€25 for 24hr). Budget hotel in the Groningen Centrum Great location, the room is pretty small, the bathroom also pretty small. But clean ans affordable But unfortunately, on our last the the lift is under maintenance. So we have to bring out luggage thru stair and quite painfull

The hotel is very clean with a great location in the centre of the city. The room is spacious and even though there are three beds in the room there is space to move and place suitcases. The room is quiet with ac. Breakfast is 18 euro per person so we decided to walk to Starbucks instead.
