Perfect location in the city center, modern decor and friendly staff. Their system got our booking wrong, but fixed it quickly. The kitchen in the studio isn’t clean, you can see people cooked there before, some stains on the wall. Overall a nice experience.

The hotel is very close to the city center, only a 10-minute walk away. The hotel facilities are good, including fitness room, bingbing ball, billiards, etc. Checkin has free welcome drink & hot dog However, the toilet is very small, the service speed is very slow, and the air conditioning is centrally controlled and cannot be adjusted.

Its at a great spot, right next to the cinema, located at the city centre, not exactly traditional but instead its fancy and stylish

Relatively trendy and simple decoration, the facilities feel simple, the room is large, but the quilt is very thin, and the kettle is not clean. So the experience was not satisfactory.

The room is very clean and the windows can be opened. The windows are very large. It is very convenient to attend the exhibition next to MECC.

Clean and sanitary environment

Cockroaches were found on the ceiling of the hotel. The hygiene is not very good. The sound insulation of the room is too poor. You can hear the noise of the people next door taking a shower clearly. The heating equipment is too old and the noise is too loud.

I live here every time, I'm used to it, it's convenient and clean!

Great large room Directly opposite the Maastricht station and bus station Walking distance to spa grocery store and 15mins walk to city centre Stairs to reception, no lift to reception - not good for disabled people - apparently the other entrance was locked but it has a platform for wheelchair accessibility to the reception/dining room and the lift to other levels. Good location, nice serving and clean room. But the facilities are really old. I think the most modern thing is the LCD TV. We have to said the room and the reception are nice and helpful. They are willing to answer questions and help to solve your problems.

Mattresses are very very soft. I would not know anyone who likes that. Both of us did not sleep well in theses beds. We would not choose this hotel again although everything else was fine.

Staff answered all questions. One BIG problem… I booked it through ******* in February…. It was on my Credit card statement which I paid. I was billed again at the hotel and now I have pending charges in my bill substantially greater than what I already paid following the booking.

We arrived @ 15:00 while check-in was possible from 16:00. The employee made it possible to check-in a bit earlier. Bike rental quite expensive @ desk. €17,50 per day for just a normal city bike.

Very comfortable hotel, I will definitely stay here again next time I have the chance. The location is easy to find because we drove by ourselves, and parking is easy and free, which is great. Basically everything is satisfactory.

The room is large and the bedding is comfortable. I stayed for four nights and changed the sheets in the middle. The soundproofing is good, the surrounding is relatively quiet, the traffic is average, and the nearest bus stop is 4-500 km away. There is a refrigerator.

Hotel staffs were friendly. The hotel is a bit dated. Definitely can improve on cleanliness. The coffee cups and spoons in our room had stains, the rug around the bed was so old and gross looking and there was even a dead baby cockroach stuck on the wall. Free vanity kits and tubes of lotion were unnecessary.

Great Hotel in a wonderful old Château and a amazing park around. To the city of Maastricht about 25 minutes by bicycle. We missed a kettle and some coffe/tea and a fridge in the room. apart from this a very nice, modern room and a good breakfast. Try the bistro in the historic part of the hotel with high quality dishes.

This is an affordable stay. It lacks in quality and delivery. Being woken up by a 55” TV turning on at 07am on a Saturday wasn’t very pleasant.

Bastion Hotels should take care of technical things in the rooms. For instance there was no light available at the bedside in room no 108.

Visit for Andre Rieu concert Overall stay at Bastion was acceptable but was let down by lack of attention to detail i.e. numerous requests for extra towels and toilet rolls. Also TV did not work and at the end of our stay had still not been resolved ( hotel notified 3 times). No kettle in room and again 3 requests before it was provided.

Well located place at the middle of the city of Maastrich,people can come from all directions the building is visible to all.

It was very good! It was very clean and I was very satisfied with my stay. The interior of the room was also beautiful, and there were no issues with the bathroom, so I was able to stay comfortably.

Spacious family room. Few facilities in the room, such as a coffee or tea corner. The hotel is within walking distance of the center and station, therefore very noisy. People drank on the streets in the evening and municipal sweepers in the morning. Breakfast not worth the money. There are better options within walking distance of the hotel.

The bathroom door is inadequate because the water keeps leaking out of the shower area and the floor is flooded. I suggest you can improve by adding a proper lock to the door.

Simple facilities, no refrigerator, you can borrow a kettle to boil water at the counter, and there is internet. The location is two minutes in front of the station. The location is great.

Great location next to Vrijthof in Maastricht. Old style hotel with updated rooms. The room we stayed in was large and quiet: no noise from outside, even its located in the city centre. Some noises could be heard from the hallway and other rooms (running water and doors closing) probably due to the older style building.

We enjoyed excellent hospitality at this special hotel. It's clear that new CEO Desiree Dils places a high priority on hospitality. I found the room and spaces very clean, the staff were attentive and the new staff they were training were doing so well. This didn't hinder or slow the service at all, great experience all round. Service was great, everything you need is there

I temporarily chose a hotel near MECC. The hotel was good in all aspects, but the surrounding area was a little quieter. But this is basically the case in small European cities, and it’s normal. Health and food are good. Business accommodation is acceptable.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dutch, Maastricht was a gem of a city and the Dutch is perfectly located if you like wandering. It’s a 5 minute walk to the train station and about a 10 minute walk to the city center. We plan on staying here again!

Budget hotel and about 15-min walk from the train station. This is totally fine without luggage, but challenging if you do (can book an Uber if you desire). Our room is clean but a bit small. It’s close to the major spots to visit in Maastricht so that’s nice.

Excellent old school hotel with great guest rooms and 5* service throughout, pick of the bunch by far when visiting the Andre Rieu pilgrimage.
