Across the road from the beach and close to eateries and coffee shops. Very clean and well equipped rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. A pleasure to stay here. Excellent Internet!

Excellent service, clean and really comfortable beds. The location was perfect bring so close to both the beach and town.

Fantastic location, walking distance to restaurants. Really comfortable bed, clean an tidy spacious room. Staff were friendly, warm and welcoming.

My husband is waiting outside the motel reception after flying from Wellington. Office is locked up and no one is answering the phone. No one is answering the door. The website says great service....
Edit to update: He was definitely booked with your motel. You called him today to apologise for closing the office early with no notification. Good customer service and business ethics would have seen you courtesy call him and any other customers to let them know you were closing early and sorting their rooms out to avoid this sort of thing happening. Although the apology is appreciated, replying to this review with what appears to be some made-up story with you as the hero of the day is pretty sad. Take some accountability and perhaps I'll consider changing my rating.

Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Another review already noted this, but the shower temperature was inconsistent oscillating back and forth, and the windows could use screens to keep out the bugs (the windows to my room were open when i checked in). The location is great! Very short walk to the beach, and easy to come and go.

The only good thing about the room is the size of the bed. There was no microwave for n the room which is a big problem for those who are away for work and need to heat meals. The shower was always changing temperature. No sky. And worst of all the pricing was quite high for the quality of the stay.

I booked 3 rooms back in October 2021 for Jan 2022. I paid a deposit of $800. Due to lockdowns and being in red i had to cancel the room. I contacted the manager Katie on numerous occassions about a refund. But nothing. Dont book unless you know for sure youre going. Otherwise Katie wont refund you.

A good place to stay near the beach

Absolutely loved this place. Not flash if you like flash. Those of you enjoy homely friendly and accommodating this place is for you. Clean and stylish. We had an upgrade on arrival. We would have stayed longer if we had the chance. This place will be the only place we will go for accommodation next time we are in Gisborne. Cross the road to the beach and minutes distance driving to town centre. Thanks to the proprietors for the attention to making us feel very welcome and comfortable.
