Great location, clean rooms a little dated but still very comfortable and quiet

We needed a place to stay in Wellington for a couple of nights and selected Trinity in a random selection online. Criteria were, reasonably easy to get to by car, reasonable proximity to Te Papa and reasonable price. Trinity covered those bases.
Online booking was simple as was check-in. Car parking was in a Wilsons building just across the street, arranged by the hotel. The facilities were up to our expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were all you could wish for. We were away from the hotel all day, so didn't need anything else. We had one evening meal in the restaurant and that was quite adequate in terms of preparation, flavors and portion size. Check-out was straightforward and we were offered storage for our luggage for the day although we didn't need that service.
We are well into our 70's but walking to attractions was not an issue. We were more than happy with our stay and in similar circumstances would stay there again.

Staff was accommodating in keeping my stuff safe prior to check-in so that I have a chance to tour the city without having to drag my luggage around.

The room wasn't as big as it looked in the pictures, but it was very clean and well-maintained. The front desk staff were very friendly and always willing to help. They gave me a city map on the first day, and over two days, I explored the seaside streets and pier on foot. They were especially friendly to passengers taking the Airport Express (AX). Get off at the intersection of Manners Street and Willis Street, walk south uphill for a bit, and it's on your right. Tea and coffee were unlimited, as were chocolates. I couldn't drink coffee anymore, so I only drank chocolates, and the hotel thoughtfully provided me with a large mug. It's very close to Cuba Street, so it's not far from anywhere. When I left, Beth happened to be off work, driving home in her BYD, and she gave me a ride to the airport, even making a detour to see the Lord of the Rings filming locations. She was truly friendly. If I go to Wellington again, I will definitely choose them again.
