We arrived early in the morning to drop our bags off, as confirmed via email at the time of booking. Despite this, the man we dealt with was extremely rude. He made a point of saying we had woken him at 7:30am, pointed at a sign saying they were not open, and when I mentioned the approved early bag drop, he responded by saying it “must have been my wife in a grump.” This comment was completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, we were overcharged, with an extra payment taken from my Visa card without my authorisation.
This was genuinely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The owner clearly does not enjoy his job and is not suited to dealing with guests. I would not recommend staying here. The issues continued with the accommodation itself, the shower dripped all night, making it difficult to sleep, and the extra bed that was made up was extremely uncomfortable. It was so poor I wouldn’t even expect a toddler to sleep on it.
Overall, a very disappointing experience from start to finish.

The room was clean but was showing it's age,it could do with a bit of updating,faulty fridge,no toilet roll holder,no plug for basin,no hooks to hang clothes when in the bathroom. Staff were very polite and accommodating.

Rooms were clean, manager went above and beyond helping us as we had car trouble, location is great, short walk from town, no issue with parking. Would happily stay here again.

Room was clean, well equiped and a great size. Staff were courteous and polite. Location gave great access into town and beyond. We were a bit worried about road noise but after 9 it was v quiet. Definitely the best value hotel in Wellington!!

Good budget establishment. Excellent central city location. Excellent place to stay if visiting the Basin Reserve. Clean and tidy.
Remarkably quiet given its location.

My stay was adequate but found it to be quite noisy with thin walls so could hear guests in the bathroom above me. The receptionist was not overly friendly so first impression wasn’t a positive one. The motel room itself was comfortable but was surprised there was no milk offered for the first couple of hot drinks which is usual practice in accommodation.

If you are on a budget, want central wellington and a tidy, clean place... this is the one. It's not flash, it's not run down either.... it's just 3 star, excellent value. Service desk staff were really helpful and lovely.

Beautiful clean room with kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. 4 dining chairs so we could sit at the table plus a relaxing couch. And great heating. Would definitely come again.
