Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am” No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.  Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is...

The hotel is located on the edge of Wellington city center, right next to the Parliament and Government House, as well as Wellington Railway Station. It's about a 10-minute walk to the city center and the Te Papa National Museum. Since it's a hotel, self-service laundry isn't available, so I had to find a laundromat outside to do my washing.

great views of the harbour and convenient location near restuarants. The Porter resturant in the hotel has great food but if the restuarant is busy then be prepared to wait. Service by the hotel staff was also great

Great view of the Queen's wharf/ waterfront and good amenities (ie sauna room, kitchenette, ironing facility). Only gripe that I have would be that the hangers are affixed to the wardrobe and also the lack of bathroom/bedroom slippers)

A great place to stay for a reasonable rate. Walking distance to cultural attractions on the waterfront as well as entertainment venues in the CBD.

Ibis Wellington was located conveniently in the city and the harbour is just a few minutes away. It's convenient to walk everywhere, including shopping. The room we got was big and basic, including the toilet.

The rooms were a great size, bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee provided with a mini fridge but I would suggest a small microwave to be placed in the rooms. The key did disable but that only happened once, but other people that I was staying with theirs happened quite a bit. The location is excellent, with easy access to Lambton Quay, Wellington’s main street. The staff were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

I chose this hotel because I arrived late at night and departed early the next morning, and they had a shuttle at 03:45 am. So, I didn't actually use my room for very long, but it was spacious and comfortable.

It's a great experience. The value for money is there and the location is wonderful with next to zero noise at night. Staff is friendly and helpful and daily housekeeping is on point. It would be better to provide body lotion in the room, and TV produce some flashing light from the back after turning off can be slightly troublesome. The hotel is central to everything. Access from The Terrace and Lambton Quay. Friendly staff clean room. They just need to make sure you have sufficient plates and cups for all occupants other than that nice hotel

Air conditioning of one room is out of order. Also, the air conditioning machine is too close to the bed and feel a bit noisy when sleeping.

The location was ideal for us as it was a simple lift to downtown Wellington. The facilities are a little tired but it was clean and tidy. Even had glimpses of the Harbour. Overall we would stay again, especially if it was appartment 505 that we had!

Honestly, I think it's pretty good for the price. The bathroom was also quite clean and didn't have any unpleasant odors. However, there were two travel brochures on my bed; I'm not sure if they were gifts from the hotel.

I extended my stay in Room 326 and the 6 electrical wall plugs in the room were not working from 26th December until I checked out on the 28th. The front desk personell worked it out from the main switchboard on the evening of the 26th, but it was out again in the early morning of the 27th. As advertised、all confort、easy check in and out. Could use the lockers for free to store my bags as I arrived before the check in time. Overall clean、the towel had a few stains、and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty for the 3 nights I was there. Good location、safe stay、good value.

I had a pleasant stay at Trek Global Backpackers - I booked a private room with my own bathroom. The room given was spacious and had adequate amenities . Downside was there was no elevator & I had to carry my luggages up 6 flights of stairs.

Hotel location is quite central and good, staff are nice. I stayed in the 4 person room and honestly it was lacking. Ive stayed at hostels before normally there will be a curtain on the bunkbeds for privacy, (especially in a mixed dorm) this wasn't there. Our room was clean and decent, but staff support was entirely absent and the plumbing was problematic but not disastrous. In a two day stay we never saw a staff member. We entered the hotel several times when there was supposed to be staff on duty. Must have been ghosts.

This is a wonderful hotel full of older charm lacking in cookie-cutter hotel chains. Everything room is a little different but all equally lovely. Second time I've stayed here. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Wellington, and this one is quiet and warm. I often struggle to sleep in hotels - so this has now become my go-to. So convenient to the waterfront for dinner or to go walking/running.

We had the kebabs and they were absolutely delicious. But what really stood out was the incredible honesty and kindness of the staff. Easy access to and from the motorway close to town lovely and clean got a bar at a restaurant within the hotel stayed there twice now look forward to going back.

The room was really good for what we needed. Was just hard washing dishes in the bathroom. The lift was broken, which is out of your control, however it would have made it easier to be able to access the stairs. Other than that, thanks for the stay, would recommend
