A lovely, atmospheric hotel reeking with history. Spotlessly clean and really quiet. Staff were lovely, although front desk times are limited. Perfectly located for downtown and the quayside. Like living in a palace.

The Wellesley is historic old Wellington, elegant yet very functional. Ideally situated close to Lambton Quay offices , businesses , shops and restaurants. Large comfortable rooms , and excellent meeting spaces

This is a lovely, slightly quirky hotel. We really enjoyed our time here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The location is great for visiting a lot of interesting sites and for restaurants. Definitely recommended.

Our room was clean and decent, but staff support was entirely absent and the plumbing was problematic but not disastrous. In a two day stay we never saw a staff member. We entered the hotel several times when there was supposed to be staff on duty. Must have been ghosts.

This is a wonderful hotel full of older charm lacking in cookie-cutter hotel chains. Everything room is a little different but all equally lovely. With just 13 rooms it is has a quiet and intimate feeling. There is a delightful coffee shop attached that has space for lounging. As you would expect from a small hotel, the staff is extra friendly and helpful. Two blocks in from the waterfront, near the cable car and beehive, it is well situated in the CBD for wandering.

Second time I've stayed here. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Wellington, and this one is quiet and warm. I often struggle to sleep in hotels - so this has now become my go-to. So convenient to the waterfront for dinner or to go walking/running.

Terrific atmosphere. WONDERFUL BATHROOM WITH LORIOUS SOAKER TUB. Lovely robes. Nice fridge and bottle of wine a nice touch. I would absolutely stay here again.

A historic landmark hotel. Perfectly situated in the Wellington CBD, access to Govt and Parliament.

Quiet, with big rooms and a fabulous bathroom. Cage downstairs for breakfast.
