On the plus side, I have to admit that it was really warm in the freezing winter, although it did get cooler at night. A second nice touch was discounts at a few pubs and a ticket for Gubałówka, but that was about it.

The property doesn't have much in common with the palace, except for the rather nice decor of the dining room, which I'll discuss in more detail later. The first major drawback is that the reception desk is located 150 meters away in a different building, which is an unpleasant inconvenience after a 10-hour journey. The interiors are old, and the furniture is old, and I'm not talking about the historic palace design. The room is just a room; it was fine to spend a few days there, but the door was scratched and let in light and sound from the hallway. I chose a double bed, which, supposedly for accessibility reasons, was made into two. There was an electric kettle with a flap that kept falling off. The real treats begin in the bathroom, where we're met with an oversized toilet seat that doesn't fit the toilet bowl, a toilet paper holder that floats around at will, but the real deal was the shower head holder, which kept spinning, requiring us to wrap it around it to keep it in place. I understand the palace atmosphere, but these kinds of glitches are pure carelessness and a complete disregard for guests' basic comfort. The aforementioned dining room serves the same thing every day. Literally, we felt like the same cucumbers and tomatoes were lying around every day, and on our last day, breakfast wasn't set out, but rather served in limited quantities at the table due to the small number of guests. We were left with a single loaf of bread, and our tray contained, among other things, dried-out cheese. The lady also brought us four sausages, one of which was from a different set. Overall, a two-star rating is well-deserved. Nevertheless, we thank the kitchen staff and other service staff for their excellent work.

The guesthouse is located in a historic but very dilapidated building. Its advantages include its proximity to Krupówki Street and the view of Giewont Mountain from the balcony. However, there are many drawbacks, and the price per night (PLN 308 for two people) is not commensurate with the quality offered. There is no elevator. The double room (no. 12) was so tiny that it was difficult to move around without hitting your feet on the bed. The floor was worn and needed sanding. The bathroom was tiny and in need of immediate renovation. There was no bubble bath, shampoo, or hairdryer. There was one small towel per person, and no replacement for a two-night stay. There was one bedside lamp for two people. There was an electric kettle, but no tea bags or coffee were provided. There was also no mineral water. Breakfast was plentiful enough (sausages, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, and cheeses), but not very varied; there was no fruit or jam. Parking was an additional PLN 20 per night. The reception is located in another hotel, about 150 meters from the Bright Palace, and is only open until 7:00 PM, which is absurd.

It used to be a place with atmosphere and soul. We came because it was homely there, which was taken care of by the resort's employees, in particular the elderly lady Tereska from the reception - she was always helpful. Currently, this climate is gone, and reservations are taken by some unpleasant and surly woman, supposedly the manager of the guesthouse. In addition, lunches, which we gladly used, were eliminated. Unfortunately, we are forced to spend the night elsewhere.

The place needs a general renovation. The bathroom unfortunately stank. The only advantage is breakfast. I think that everyone will find something for themselves. I booked a room with a balcony or terrace, and I got it without, so I recommend that you check which room you will get by telephone. I'm so sorry but I don't recommend this place.

2 stars only for the great location, rest is nightmare, balcony of the room had no view although it was a lie stating room with mountain view.
