Hotel Amax in Mikolajki

The hotel is very pretty, well decorated in maritime blue and white tones, on the edge of the lake; and the atmosphere is very cosy. The room was spacious. Nice little pool too.
But the management seems to have forgotten the heart of the hotel idea: concern for the guest, in particular their comfort and the thoughtfulness of the staff towards them.
We had booked four months in advance, but our room, although beautiful, only overlooked the car park and not the lake.

Above all, the bedding was absolutely unacceptable. I've travelled all over the world, and in hundreds of more or less comfortable hotels, and I've never come across bedding like this: of course, everyone likes a mattress that's more or less hard, more or less soft. The mattresses have so little density that, when you lie down, your head and feet suddenly rise and your body seems to want to sink to the very bottom of the mattress, covering you completely. So you sleep (if you can manage it) folded in half and wake up with the usual aches and pains of poor bedding.

Who cares if the owner likes to sleep in marshmallows? What matters is the guest's expectation of a normal bed, hard or soft.

But the most unpleasant thing was the attitude of the staff. We pointed out the problem, and eventually asked to change rooms. Nobody tried to find a solution, to come and check the bedding, and the receptionist simply told us, in a cold and careless tone: all the beds are like that, there are no more rooms available, it's not my fault. So we slept very badly for three nights, and I don't know who can sleep well in bedding without a minimum of mattress density.

Same experience with the dry cleaners. The hotel book said that the clothes would be washed within 24 hours. The next day, nothing was ready and, when I asked the receptionist if our clothes would be ready that day, he just replied "may be". We had to wait until the morning of our departure to receive our clothes.
This bedding, unworthy of a hotel, and the negligent attitude of the staff, will unfortunately mean that we will not go to this hotel again, although it is pretty and well situated.

Again, we report it to the receptionist. The taciturn response: "Oh yes, in the morning, we fill the jacuzzi, you just have to wait 20 minutes"... So, in the morning, at the very moment when the customers get up and take their shower, priority goes to the jacuzzi and the customers have to wait, and that seems normal!!! This bedding, unworthy of a hotel, and the negligent attitude of the staff, will unfortunately mean that we will not go to this hotel again, although it is pretty and well situated.

Too bad that you conduct loud closed private pool partys until 3am as a side kick, we went ther with 3 children and couldn't wait to get out of that place, by the way complet incompetence from the hotels owner/manager. That becid the fact that the place is full of big spiders And a whole other bunch of bugs, ohh and no cleaning of the room fo 5 days whatever. Enjoy...
