Hotel Marina Club in Olsztyn

The food here is amazing. The location is magical. The building is beautiful. But the service needs improvement. It is very hit and miss with the staff. Whilst all are polite, the attitude kind of sucks. This could be a magical resort for a wellness retreat or family trip, but the staff need to be trained on how to provide a 5 star service. For example better guidance can be given on what walking or bike trips to take, better communication when facilities stop working and then work again (the bowling stopped working and we weren’t informed of either it stopping to work or being fixed). I’m sure this place will continue to have visitors, but the team can be retrained on what it means to provide 5 star service.

Stay away for organised packages and new year party. It is wasted money! We joined friends for new year party, which is as very very very low quality. It was overbooked, the service was stressed and the hotel has not even been decorated, the food quality has been average. Besides the reception, nobody really spoke English - generally there are better places when you have kids and better place when you look for five star experience - close by as well. Stay away, for this money - not worth it.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THEIR XMASS PARTY:
the party was SO badly arranged that we actually filed a complaint to get our money back. The food was very minimal, no “open bar” as initially stated, awful playroom and activities for kids and a very minimal plaza (no place to sit!!) for the night party. The music was the lowest quality possible and NO FIREWORKS FOR THE EXPENSIVE NEW YEAR PARTY!!!! Very short sided strategy to save money. They lost their most loyal customers!!

VERY DISAPPOINTING. Not recommended for couples. We booked their special offer for couples which says "Great time for two". Funny how the caption says, "Relaxing moments just for two in one of the most beautifully located facilities in Poland in the middle of a lake. Closeness to nature, ubiquitous silence, interrupted only by the sound of the lake and singing birds." The only thing that's true (in our experience) is that, you are close to nature. Other than that, you will never hear the sound of the lake and singing of birds because of the people running/screaming along the hallway. We weren't able to relax during our whole stay, unfortunately, we were there for 3 days. In the restaurant, there's a "No Kid Zone", but guess what? it's not strictly followed. The Buffet is a chaos. Sometimes, the food is cold. Other times, the trays are almost empty. It's just not the quality you expect from a "5 star" hotel. :( The whole stay does not encourage you to visit again.
