We had a lovely stay at Lyrath Estate from the 1st to the 4th of January. The hotel was still decorated for Christmas, which added to the festive feel. The staff were a standout. There were plenty of staff on hand, and everyone we encountered was friendly, courteous and helpful. It was like they embodied the character of the hotel, which was so refreshing and welcoming. We thought everything was excellent. From checkin to room to spa and restaurants were all of a very high standard. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. I was very impressed and will return again.

Room was very nice and spotless, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the grill bar was excellent

The building is beautiful inside and out and is on a gorgeous vast property. Our room was very large and well appointed and clean. The staff were wonderful and the restaurants and bars were fantastic. We highly recommend this property!!

Beautiful lunch in the Grill Bar. Fabulous dinner and Breakfast. Pool and leisure facilities are adequate. Rooms are big, spacious and lobby has lots of airy spaces for working and meeting people.

Pretty property. Beds were ok. Service was not that great in the restaurants. The staff is not well trained to remove dishes, cutlery etc and no one seems to know how dishes are prepared or what liquors are available. :/ Front desk staff and bellmen were incredible. Beyond incredible to be honest. Dermot is a phenomenal human and honestly made my stay there special.

Parking across the street was 8 Euros with the voucher. Hotels is within a short walking distance to the main sights. Ground floor was a lot fancier than the floor with our room.

Our room was very warm and we could not find the feature to cool our room down otherwise it was fine.

The stay was okay but my wife and I were sensing a culture of being money driven than customer comfort and well-being driven. The location was very good for tourists.

Rooms are clean. Easy walking distance to most sites. We have stayed here twice in the past ten years. You pay 8euro per night for parking lot across the street. Buffet breakfast in am is good $16 euro per person.

Kilkenny was probably our favorite stop in Ireland. This hotel was centrally located and definitely within walking distance of much we wanted to do. Very clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel overall I have stayed here in the past and found it to be a warm and welcoming hotel and great for the city centre and nice to have a cut price parking deal with the multistorey over the road. The room was comfy and wifi decent. Bar food was good albeit a little pricey compared to less tourist cities. But you're spoilt for choice for food.

I ate here with some friend's. It was absolutely lovely in the sunshine, sitting out with some good food. Portions are great and taste is very nice also. Would love to visit again soon.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Kilkenny River Court Hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better — right along the river and just a short walk to everything in the city center, including the castle, shops, and great pubs. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. Our room was well-kept, quiet, and made for a relaxing stay after a full day exploring...

Dissatisfied Room 149 is only suitable for a single occupancy. The room is small. The shower access is over the bath. No . It feels crowded with two people in the room despite having a large bed. We have no where to sit only across the room. Not suitable for a couple!

I love this hotel and staying midweek is unbelievable value. The location is unbeatable and is so near to all shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions. The breakfast is brilliant and never let's you down.

Wonderful location, friendly staff, good breakfast, amazing castle and river view! We loved our stay very much! Walking distance to the castle, pubs, train station, very convenient! Free parking at the hotel. 2026-Feb

We never stay anywhere else when visiting kilkenny. The River Court is so convenient to the city centre and the river Nore. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast, and all round very good value for money. We have stayed here on many occasions over the last few years and are looking forward to going back already. 😀

Great value, excellent service and delicious food.

Very nice hotel Staff lovely and friendly and helpful. The only comment I have is when I checked in I was not informed about where the facilities where or when they where open. The time breakfast was starting or finishing. It was probably an oversight. But overall a very nice stay and I will be back.

Very nice luxury hotel, 20 minute walk outside of central Kilkenny. The rooms are very spacious. The gym is very nice, but very loud. The breatfast buffet is nice, but somewhat limited, as are the menu options.

Really nice hotel about 20 minutes walk from the town centre of Kilkenny. Well fitted room and nice bathroom. Clean throughout. Fabulous leisure facilities. Restaurant gets busy and food ok. Really pleased with this find on our Ireland road trip.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Rooms were lovely with cot (with mattress). Lovely selection for breakfast. Bring you swimming togs and make sure you book the swimming pool, great to get a dip in the pool. ( need pool hats) Jurassic Park is a great addition and you have free access as a hotel resident. You need to pay to visit santa and we ended up paying full access fee...

Overall lovely, but it would be nicer to include toothbrush/toothpaste in the toiletries, as well as slippers.

Whilst the Hotel claims 4 stars,we were disappointed with dining options,accessible bedroom limited seating,bathroom was excellent.It would be difficult to get a wheelchair into the bedroom

We were not expecting there to be a many children running around in the lobby or being present in the restaurant at a spa hotel.

Everything excellent! Extremely comfortable bed, lovely bed linen. Standard of decor great, very warm and cosy. Staff helpful.

Room very spacious, clean and comfortable. The lift is very slow when you call for it. Full Irish breakfast was excellent, great location. No car park linked to the hotel, but there is a municipal one literally across the road but no no concessions for hotel stay.

The room was really hot even though we turned down the heater as low as possible. Shower was super small

First time at Kilford Arms and I will stay here again...the hotel is huge! Room was lovely and the staff were great. All the bars/restaurants were good...the hotel looks small from outside but it isn't. Good parking(I did not use) and to walk out your in the heart of Kilkenny...alot of pubs & things to do or see. Love Kilkenny and now I love Kilford Arms!

The accommodation was clean and nice. It wasn't cold at all! The location was especially great. It was really close to the city center and the train station, so it was perfect for backpackers.

The old building has some minor inconveniences, but they're manageable. The basic facilities are complete, and the restaurant and bar are excellent! The hotel staff are friendly and attentive, thank you! Overall, this is a very good hotel, highly recommended!

A nice hotel in a classic Irish style. With a pub and restaurant. I liked it.

Good location,service is good, many food selection for breakfast. But two things can be changed is the parking sign can be a bit clearer, room is very stuffy need better air circulation or ac. Downstairs can be a bit noisy because of the bar.

The location, the breakfast and the comfortable won big for this hotel. Really enjoyed our stay, and free parking nearby makes it a great stop on our trip around west Ireland. Definitely staying here again next time we are in the area.

Hotel and staff were very nice. They have an issue with their tubs. They are too tall and do not have grab rails to get out and a high probability for falling

The Pembroke is a great hotel in the heart of Kilkenny. Free parking that is moderate walking distance away. Very large bathroom and shower. Nice bar/restaurant and the breakfast was delicious.

The room was v spacious and clean however it needs updating as it is shabby in places and for the price i was charged i felt the room was not up to standard.

We were provided an early check-in and that’s 5 stars rate for me. The room is big enough and the bathroom is clean, though extra coffee pods would be perfect. Hotel staff are great and courteous.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. Room is spacious, bed is excellent, and the shower is amazing! The staff was welcoming and friendly.

Really friendly staff, good sized clean rooms. Early check in at 10:00 when we arrived early for the food festival.

Great central accommodation at a reasonable price.

Great hotel and very spacious. My sister and I had a great time here. The walk into town was pretty easy and stores were pretty close. The front desk folks were helpful

I visit Kilkenny regularly and stayed at this hotel including weekend. Nice hotel but overpriced for a weekend. The room was dark without central light, the old key-lock door let in noise, and parking was unavailable due to an event. I had to pay for parking outside, which the hotel didn’t refund. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly, but I’d avoid staying on Saturdays.

The staff and location and facilities at the hotel were excellent. We had a garden suite room which was very comfortable. The only minor issue was the cold water tap in the bathroom didn’t supply any cold water instead it was lukewarm.

Langton’s in Kilkenny never disappoints. This is our second time visiting and the service has only gotten better. I would highly recommend a stay here, if you’re in the Kilkenny area

This is a spectacular hotel - everywhere you look, it’s beautiful. The food and the room was lovely!! The staff were not friendly or happy, with the outstanding exception of the barman - he was fun and service focused.
