We had a lovely stay at Lyrath Estate from the 1st to the 4th of January. The hotel was still decorated for Christmas, which added to the festive feel.

The staff were a standout. There were plenty of staff on hand, and everyone we encountered was friendly, courteous and helpful. It was like they embodied the character of the hotel, which was so refreshing and welcoming.

The hotel itself is a gem, beautifully merging the old house with the new facilities. The room was spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, warm and quiet. The estate grounds are lovely - we walked the different trails each day.

The food was amazing. We ate in the bar & grill, breakfast each day, plus we used the coffee dock. There are food options for all occasions, which added to the enjoyment of our stay.

We look forward to staying at Lyrath again.

We thought everything was excellent. From checkin to room to spa and restaurants were all of a very high standard. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. I was very impressed and will return again.

The building is beautiful inside and out and is on a gorgeous vast property. Our room was very large and well appointed and clean. The staff were wonderful and the restaurants and bars were fantastic. We highly recommend this property!!

Beautiful lunch in the Grill Bar. Fabulous dinner and Breakfast. Pool and leisure facilities are adequate. Rooms are big, spacious and lobby has lots of airy spaces for working and meeting people.

Pretty property. Beds were ok. Service was not that great in the restaurants. The staff is not well trained to remove dishes, cutlery etc and no one seems to know how dishes are prepared or what liquors are available. :/

Front desk staff and bellmen were incredible. Beyond incredible to be honest. Dermot is a phenomenal human and honestly made my stay there special.

One of the most elegant properties we visited. The grounds are open and inviting, the room was beautiful, staff was very attentive and friendly. We'll stay again someday.

The Lyrath Estate was the best hotel on our Ireland round trip. Everything was perfect. When we arrived in the afternoon a piano player was playing in the very nice, bright wonderful lobby.
The breakfast was like the whole estate excellent. We can highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a stay near Kilkenny…

Disappointed
Room, grounds, service all good. Food poor and poor value and wouldn’t return for this reason.

We arrived at this hotel very late, and when we entered the room, we were very surprised. We booked a suite, but we didn't expect it to be so good; the room is very large, especially the dining room and living room are very spacious; especially the wine cabinet is made in the form of a piano, which is quite innovative 👏; the bedroom is also very comfortable, there are two bathrooms, very convenient and very clean; I woke up in the morning and found that the hotel is very large and beautiful, and took many photos in the hotel; it's a pity that it rained and I couldn't go to the garden, I could only look at the beautiful garden through the window. The breakfast is also good, a standard English breakfast; it is worth staying for two days to sit around in the hotel and drink English afternoon tea, which will definitely be very enjoyable.
