Liked the hotel!
We stayed from December 19th to 23rd.
Clean, comfortable. Fresh renovation, new furniture. Very nice, polite receptionists.
In the bathroom every day enclose one-time shampoo, gel and soap. There was no problem with hot water in the shower and sink. There is a hair dryer. 3 towels per guest.
On each floor there is a cooler with hot and cold water.
In general, the impression of living in Akademicheskaya is very positive! I advise!

The cafe located in the hotel building does not belong to the hotel itself. All nutrition issues are to be resolved personally with the owner of the cafe. Breakfast from 8.00 to 10.00. The time is very inconvenient, both for independent walks, and even more so when you have an excursion scheduled. They feed normally. But you can not buy breakfast on the tour, but pay for it yourself on the spot, so to speak, 'according to the bill', because. they cost only 300 rubles / day / person (and if you pay for breakfast with a tour, then they charge you more, why pay more).

The hotel is great! Many thanks to the staff for checking us in immediately upon arrival! It is very nice!
The room is large, spacious, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window, a lot of cabinets, a large table, a refrigerator, cups for tea.
The location is convenient: next to the bus stop, buses 32 and 44. You can reach them both to the center and to the train stations.
From the airport to the hotel 25 minutes by taxi. Very fast.
Near the hotel there are many shops, bakeries: there is also a grocery Spar. Very very convenient!
If you eat in the city, then I recommend the dining room Povareshka, there are several of them. Delicious and relatively inexpensive.

The next time we are in Kaliningrad, we will stop again at Akademicheskaya!

Booked on booking.com. We settled in, on the second day they paid, because there were difficulties with payment. During the stay, the hotel canceled the booking on booking (the accommodation was not affected) and now I cannot leave a review for them on booking and the hotel is not counted as visited. Therefore 4 stars.
By pluses:
Respect for cleanliness! Very clean. Both in the rooms and in the corridors. Lived for two days. They left in the morning - they arrived in the evening, the beds were made, which means they did some cleaning. There are water coolers on the floor. The staff is polite. Parking under the barrier, no "left" cars will come and people will not come. There is a coffee machine and a machine with snacks and water.
We lived on the 10th floor. Quiet, peaceful, no noisy neighbors.
Minuses:
Payment only through the terminal, they don’t give change (someone is fine, but since we are not local, we have nowhere to put the change, so we need to change money for small ones). The keys must be handed over, they give a pass and this system is a little annoying. The last century, carry papers with you.
Didn't get to the restaurant. An innovation in the city, we need kur codes that are vaccinated, which we do not have (this also applies to cafes in the city, so you can only eat from the store). Could deliver food to the room. Since everything has become so bad :) and they denyuzhka, and food for us :)
The sink is so small that it's inconvenient to use. The TV is also small, like a laptop monitor. :)
There are no slippers - a big minus.
From the wishes: a kettle in the room and a minimum set for it (a couple of tea bags, coffee, sugar) and a bottle of water.
In general, the price corresponds to the quality and services.

The rooms are clean, apparently not so long ago they were renovated, the bed is white, the mattresses are chic and comfortable, the showers are good, cleaning every day, shampoos are put down every day, there is always a cooler on the floor, an excellent elevator. The TV is only small and the refrigerator is not a refrigerator, but some kind of cooler, all the food spoiled, this is a minus. We took a room with breakfast. Head cancer with oit 300 rubles, cafe on the 1st floor, breakfast from 8.00 to 10.00. There is always a queue, a very long time to wait for an order, because one person takes the order and payment, and then delivers these orders. And the menu is the same for breakfast, to be honest, it’s already sick of scrambled eggs, pancakes, and potato pancakes. You need to choose something for yourself for 300 rubles, if you want more, pay extra. And still far from the center to be, I had to go to the center by bus, this is a minus. In the evening after the tour, until you get to the hotel, you will go crazy in traffic jams. It’s good that you took breakfast because there is not a single cafe near the hotel, and in the evening you had to order delivery.
